Just used the Revolution controller...

I don't see why so many people think he's lying for no real reason. It's hardly like it's some incredible criminal plot that could never be pulled off in the real-world that he's saying he's doing. He's saying he's in Japan, big deal, not like that's highly improbable for anyone.

I believe him too. What does he have to gain for lying? And who gives a rats ass if he is, instead of thread-crapping just hit the back button....

Whateva though, I'm gonna go grab a bottle of Coke, it tastes better here for some reason
Maybe its not all BS?

My sister sent my some coke from japan. I figured it would be nasty and fatfree/sugarfree/flavor free like most japanese candy, but it was damn good coke. Better than any coke ive ever had here.

I believe him also. As stated, what's he got to gain? It's not like hes going to get his own fan club because he touched the revolution controller. Big deal..Innocent until proven guilty...nothing he's said yet makes me believe hes not in Japan right now.

That said... I really want some of that coke now.

Yeah, it's real good, I'm thinking about bringing some back with me  imagine the look on the custom agents face

as for Sprite, I havent seen too much of it here...

Im an Account Manager for a local 7-UP / Dr. Pepper botteling in Chicago and i can tell you guys in at least all of our Flavors we bottle the formula is consistent. We cannot alter it in anyway,so if you buy it either at you local store or the Moon it has to have the same consistent taste. And getting back to the Joystick i think it will scare off some users and others might find it interesting, i just hope the games are good thats all that matters.

See? Just because some random person says something on the internet doesn't mean it is true.

 no friggin way !!

It might be that way for Dr. Pepper, but I know Coke tastes different in China. Definitely not as good. I can give ten people the same recipe for spaghetti... that doesn't mean they'll all taste the same.
As for the controller, I still think it looks weird so I'm reserving judgement. But maybe it'll get my wife to playing.

We use refined sugar in our cokes here. They probably use sugar cane. That's my guess.

And doubt the IP thing will work as my laptop VPN's into servers at work then into the Internet - trust me when I say the Internet is sloooow (x 4)

I didn't doubt anything until I read this. I'm sure it's been picked apart, but I just read the first page and the last.

You're connecting to a private network, using the internet, to then browse the net? BS, should've thought a bit harder on this one.

Your internet experience is slow in Japan? I thought 100mb pipes are pretty common in Japan, but anyways I know that whenever I have downloaded a file that was located on a server in Japan that my transfer rates would destroy compared to downloading from anywhere else maybe except South Korea, and on a side note, in South Korea I had a T2 internet connection when I was there in 2000.

I sometimes do this, mainly for security reasons. If I'm at a hotel and I don't feel like logging into my webmail in clear text so I can get anal raped by someone who might be sniffing, I'll VPN into work first and then use the proxy there to get out.

Yeah, at least coke and especially fanta taste different in Europe as compared to the States (in the case of Fanta...waaaaaaaaayyyy!!!! different, Fanta here in the US sucks)

I have to for security reasons, I'm a consultant for Booz Allen and Hamilton, and I'm currently between projects atm, I previously did a project for the IRS - hence the need for security. My next one will hopefully be an FBI gig...

So it's BS if anyone connects via VPN and then out via a Proxy? Well gee wiz, I hope you don't go back all my posts and find the ones that were posted when I was out of town but also connecting through my work's proxy.

Come on people this is a tech forum. SOME of you guys should know this shit.

Haha, this threat is literally making me laugh out loud at work.

I want some jap coke too. :D

Lol, I laughed when I read this. I am Korean and my wife is Japanease. My wife is a good person to ask about products that are hot in Japan and she is good at predicting Japanease trends. Nintendo will be fine in Japan in the next gen console race, #2 in Japan gaurenteed. For Nintendo Japan > America, they are more open minded.

Everything tastes better in Japan, from their crepe's to their cokes to their fruits.
:)

I will buy a REV.

Not what I was commenting on. This guy has yet to post any valid info. I could have said everything he has by reading what is already on the internet.

Just shut up about it. Of course he could be lying, everybody could lie about everything they say on here, but why would they? and, more importantly, why do you care?

That isn't much of a prediction...we all know that Microsoft is going to be #3 in Japan for quite some time.

Worldwide sales are what matter the most.

Not when a good deal of the games are made by japanese companies who have to consider how their games are going to sell there, here and the rest of the world.

Japanese companies get just as frustrated with the fickle Japanese crowds as American companies do.

If he was there, I'm sure he'd have a digital camera to take pictures of the open floor stuff.

He may try to hide behind a VPN excuse, but come on. He said he saw the shell. They didn't show the shell. End of story.

Dunno about Dr.pepper but probably this is probably the case for them too. They use diffrent sweeteners in diffrent countries. In the USA due to tariffs and local corn farmers we used Corn syrup in coke. Some sugar too but mostly corn syrup. Most sodas here use it because corn syrup is cheep compared to sugar as we put a tariff on sugar to protect the US corn farmers. However in japan and europe they have no use for using "Corn Syrup" As sugar is way cheeper. That is the diffrence. As far as i know every beverage company just about that has production facilities in diffrent countries uses this same subsition.

uh, well here's the shell on IGN: BAM!

and the article...

article about these specs came in Friday @ IGN. I guess the question is was he able to mess with the prototype, did he just see it, or did he hear about it? I don't remember if he answered this.

IF you read closely.. that shell is a mock up.. IGN doens't know what it looks like.. that was just their guess..

well, they know what it accomplishes (i.e. what buttons it adds), the one that we saw was quite crude and more or less the same as a wavebird the buttons on the right were setup in a + pattern

In the article it says that the first image is a mock of what the add-on could look like based on their facts. It is an excellent read none the less.

The more I read, the more I likes :D
