Will it have any special powers?

Of course! It would be two FX57 cores using the dual core genetics to bond together into one core. And it would get you about 100,205,294 w00t h4x0r marks :p

Wow, having read thru several pages this makes me think "Civil War" amongst the [H] clan ;)

w00t w00t for socket 939!!!! I proudly display my Socket 939 in my sig. guess I'm in then?

In test tubes using material from the cores of overclocked Venice chips. I gather the idea was to create a race of 939 superbabies?
its crazy, just crazy enough to just might work! we could have uber 1337 smart children, they can calculate huge equations in a split second!

w00t for s939 and w00t for my fx-55, upgrading it only when there's a dualie fx out (hopefully the next one). there should be an intel fan club too, oh wait, when they got together they'd cause a change in climate from the heat disappation. :p

Hey guys, I have been working lately, but I did manage to update the OP, and built myself a new rig. The new rig is in the sig. Tell me what you think?

You know, I have a question, does anyone have the IHS off thier 939? I was wondering wht would be involved, and what, if any, good it would do me.

Can't.....let....thread....die..... :p

hows taht workin out for you..?

Great! I love it! I think I fscked up my BIOS, though. I somehow flashed it with the wrong one, but I have a way around it, using the "Top hat BIOS"(dont ask me to explain)

I would join if I had the money to buy s939 hardware. I will just wait until s1207 comes out and replaces both sockets. Then there will be another club for that socket. I am surprised that the intel folks have not formed an LGA775 club.

i think they have actually... lol

went from a P4 3.0 to my Athlon 64 X2 4400 @ 2.6ghz. it was like going from a camaro to a ferrari! i am so incredibly blown away by my AMD that i will be a life long convert from here on out! the hyperthreading that intel talked about having is NOTHING compared to the power of 2 processors on a single cpu! my gaming has turned out to be an almost religious experience! i finally have my dream rig, and i shall marry and grow old with her!
sad but true~!!!

Athlon 64 X2 4400@ 2.6
Asus A8N-SLI Prem
BFG 7800GTX OC
2X 1 gig Crucial Ballistix PC 4000
Silverstone ZEUS 650 Watt PSU (SLI/SATA ready)
WD Raptor 74 Gb
WD Caviar 200 Gb SATA II (storage)
Plextor SATA DVD burner +/-R
SONY DVD-ROM
AUDIGY 2 Zs
ThermalTake SHARK Case
Zalman 7700Cu 120mm/ Arctic Ceramique
i will get one more BFG 7800GTX, and one more RAPTOR for a RAID 0 set up.
then i will add the LOGITECH Z-5500 5.1 speakers to round things out.
perhaps after i get all that done, i will try my hand at watercooling! i won't need the extra power for a while, but it is something i would like to get into none the less.

I just love my 939! I recently converted to a 3200 Venice from a P4 3.06 laptop (can you say heat dissipation problems???)
Venice makes everything that much cooler (pun intended). And thanks to Venice, I would have to say that we have the coolest processor club here (aside from those goofy VIA folks).
And I like this little war. Once I finish my burritos, and have worked up a really messy one, I plan on defecating on the front port of the 754 club.
Yall better get out the pressure washer and some bleach for this one!!!

Ok, guys, I have added the last names to the list, and bee on the lookout for a new idea from me, soon. Regarding that idea, get one good photo of you rig ready to PM me.

I guess you can add me to the list too. I'm checking my 3000+ Venice for stability at 2.7Ghz. So far so good :D.

Ok, guys....here's my new idea. Take one photo of your rig, and email it to me. In the subject of your email please put your username that you use here, and then attatch the image to the email. I will host them on my server and I will link your name in the OP to your image. Bear with me, since if this catches on, I will be swamped for a while. Thanks, and please participate!

I currently have a XP3000+....and I am thinking of going s939 for the PCI-e and 64 support in mATX.

Question is...will I see a difference in going from a XP3000+ to a 64 3000+?

Are you kidding? You definately will, as the A64 is very efficient, and it outclasses the XP in all categories. Not to mention the 1800MHz FSB :p

not really. i kinda regret getting my k8n/3200+, windows is snappier but my games feel about the same. plan on getting dual core and selling the k8n and winchester off.

I am getting my socket 939 soon, it should be in the mail as we speak!
I want to apply for General of the Army (thats a 5 Star General) for the 939 club!
I have used nothing but AMD sense my Amd Slot A 650 Athlon, overclocked that puppy to 800 useing just a Thermaltake slotA Golden Orb!
My first AMD was a K62-500

i guess i havent been keeping up witht the amd forum thing, cause this snazy club is new to me. my 939 3200+ whnchester wants to play with all the ohter cool 939 cpu's, so im in. that is if its not to late to join.

Probably not. I went from an XP 2500+ running at 2.2Ghz (3200+ speeds) to an A64 3000+ Venice running at 2.52Ghz (>3400+ speeds) and every day tasks seem about the same. I don't game much, so even in games I didn't notice much difference. WinRAR files extract faster, that's about it, and even that might be the hard drive upgrade =)

In heaven you have to use an abacus.
I heard that they only have dial-up in hell. 14K dial-up. someone told me that satan doesn't want cable yet because he still has you know, stuff to pay for, child support, car payments, the usual.

I just put my Abit MAX 3 and Intel 3.2 prescott on ebay. I just built an 939 3000 Venice system with gigabyte board (moment of silence please) and the thing just flat out rocks!!! Much cooler then my intel system, everything runs nice and smooth. And the kicker. IT WAS A LOT CHEAPER THEN INTEL!!!!!!!!!! I thought I would never come to the dark side, but here I am and I am lovin it!!!! I just can't see building any more intel based systems.

LONG LIVE 939!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Prep of off topic rant /

Im goin to the river, goin to the river, goin to the river....yea! See ya all in a week...ill take pics of floss as I see it..

Think it would worth the money to get me a XP-90c for my lovely 3500+ Venice?
I am planing on taking this sick bastard to a whole new world of AIR OC.

I want to join, as long as I don't have to do any crazy stuff to prove my allegance :)

So** when's the Socket M2 club starting up? (M2 is supposed to replace 939 with 95A support vs. 80A of the 939)

enough geeking out.
I'm in the market for a 939 chip. I'm in the AMD64 4000+ price range.
I'm having trouble finding comparable FX chips to the straight up 4000+ chip.

intentions: OC the hell out of it with WC or better (prolly TEC with the wintsch labs 437w Qmax).
