yeah, if I could get my hands on a mobile 939 rev. e., it could be fun. However, hopefully the tech tour 3200+ isn't a complete dud, I am really hoping for some very early week rev. e overclocking.

i have booted at 2.8 ON AIR on my 3000+ winnie :D

mind you, im not sure whether it was stable or not, PSU died about 30secs after windows booted :p

( PS: people who bash thermaltake for no reason are morons... im using a silentboost K8 and it works BEAUTIFULLY )
 
sign me up. I've taken a 3200, 3200 winnie, 3500 clawhammer, and now 3700 sandy to above 3ghz. I'm shooting for 3.4ghz on the latest.
 
Ok, guys, once again, we have an update to the original post. Oh, and computerpro, congrats on getting your 3200 over 3ghz! You think my 3000 could go to 2.5? Prolly not?
 
Well, when I get Winders set up I will try. I just don't know about my stability, though.

My Athlon 64 X2 4400+ arrived this morning and I just installed it. It is a very beautiful thing. The only thing I missed when I switched from Intel to my 3500+ was the loss in smoothness. Not any longer, my machine is smooth as silk. My love for 939 grew so much more today.

On a side note, have you seen the stock coolers that come on the X2s? I think Intel should steal the design for their Prescotts.

Nice rig HDLite. Sure is nice having dual channel memory on your computer. Soon I too will have 2x1gb sticks in my machine, but I went with OCZ. I like their spiffy gold heatspreaders, and their reputation for overclocking. Newegg is so bitchin, I ordered yesterday and the sticks are already in Spokane, I'll probably get them tommorow. Sometimes they really impress me.

I thought it was something new for the dual core. My Venice 3500+ came with this little wimpy Al heatsink. This one is a big beefy Cu/Al heatsink with heatpipes. I've never seen a stock heatsink for a processor come with heatpipes. (atleast on the PC side)

Just googled the heatsink, and thats the one alright.
