the s754 club should change its name to "poor mans club"

:p

uh oh we may be going to war...........

Here I come Intel... :D

BUT HE FOLDS FOR THE [H]ord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

let him be the official envelope folder...

Ok, I have an Idea, this is the last officer position that will be filled. 8fingers is our official folder.

We should make a decision about how to address the s754 club problem. :D

Should we treat them like Canada. Our friendly but backwards neighbors.

Or like the USSR. Publicly hating each other, while only making war in third party areas, such as General Mayham. :D

hehe

sounds good. as the president, i'm the one who 'runs' things. i don't tolerate name calling such as "939-face!" or "dual channel whore!" :p

Yeah, I don't tolerate that crap either! :p :D

The presidents have spoken and their word is law. Anyone in violation of this rule shall be banished to the lands of Socket 5 and Packard Bell!!

word, now that we have both leaders here, how shall our clubs mingle? :p

i still vote for a competition of some sort. s754 already had a HTT competition, so that might be boring on our side. if it's oc'ing, you'll own due to revE being more widespread.. *ponders*

Hmmmm. I don't know. Anyone have any ideas? We could have some type of general overclocking competition.

ouch, looks like i have to put the smackdown on [H]unter.. 11 line sig! ooooooo :p

It's okay, I'm gonna be on socket 939 before too long with a 3000+ Venice that's Prime stable at 2.7GHz with less than 1.55v to get there. ;) But 754 still pwns, you dual-channel whores. :D

And I have yet to see anyone with more HTT on stock chipset voltage, either 754 and 939...that's gotta make some of you 939's feel enferior! :D

Okay I'm done.

No idea if I could, and don't see why I'd want to. It's just something I manipulated to raise my CPU clock.

And what business of yours is it if my motherboard likes to take it in both channels? :p

Never could get my Socket A Athlon XP very high - my Lappy (s754) only overclocks 220 mhz

BUT, my Venice s939 is Ocd 700mhz!

Beat that 754!
USA! USA! USA!....oops

I wanna join!

i got to thinking what if i drop my multi to 7 x and my htt to 350 lmao

I bet i could do it

anyone want to take thatb et?

1053MHz here. ^_^

Okay fine so it's only like 900MHz, I dropped it back a bit because the voltage requirement per clock increase started going up pretty fast after 2.7GHz.

my venice is oc'ed 1.1ghz, and it can beat up your dad
well, I did do superpi 32m @ 2.935, but that was more just for kicks, and the top ten in the OC forum. These clubs seem ok, but I'm not sure why I'd join. I mean it's not like everyone gets together, or actually does anything group oriented, do they?

it is, eclipse just put it under 3200+ for some reason. 1.8v=yuck, though for the superpi run I just threw the vcore at 1.7 and let it go, I'm sure with some more tweaking it could have been lower, but that wasn't really the objective. After 2.833-2.85 it starts really really wanting more juice, though if the IHS was to come off, I'm sure the results could be huge, given the temp range it would drop the chip into. The chiller really only gets me ~100-133mhz or so, if that, as without a radiator, I can't really say what the top end would be with the water at a constant temp, but without the rad 2.8 was still doable.

ooh, can we make it 939/940? Since they are practically twins (one with a mutated..erm...pin)

Ok, guys, the OP is updated with new names.

No, this is the 939 alliance, not the 939/940 alliance

my s754 ocs 700mhz too, and it cost 20 bucks less then your chip. :D

I love my socket 939, but its not like socket 754. 754 requires people to "love" it and form silly groups around it, to justify its existance. 939 needs no such "special bus" or extra attention, since it gets all the AMD love now. What does socket 754 get? Semprons? No thanks. My next upgrade will be a dual core CPU and a pcix motherboard, of course 939. I'm looking forward to kicking down my socket A computer to the kids and upgrading the wifes rig. I'm not gonna join this organization because like that other poster said its not like you guys are gonna have BBQ's together or swap wives or anything. Whats the point of being in a group that just reinforces what everyone already knows? Socket 939 is the cream of the crop, for now. 754 is the budget , A is the bargain basement. And don't even start about slot A or socket 7, their yard sale fodder now.

socker 939 is the cream of the crop now huh? then what happened with winchester? when everyones was only doing 2.5-6ghz, the DTR claws were doing 2.7-8ghz with EVERYCHIP! s754 gets all the mobile chips too, like newark, you know, the ones that do 3.1ghz on air? yea those chips. and PCI-x isnt what you think it is, pci-x i 64 bit pci slots, pci-e is what your thinking about.

show me a newark running 3.1ghz on air. The only newark I've heard of was eclipses, and the 3.1ghz was a suicide if I recall.

All these shots at s754, its like the army vs the navy. We should pool our resources and take on the true enemy, you know the one using fsb and high latency ddr2...(WITHOUT starting a pointless flame war)

Ahh jsut pokin some fun... :p

I have a s754 rig too, it kicks ass and takes names..

but yea DOWN WITH INTEL!

My winchester 3000+ does 2.7ghz on air, but I have to turn the voltage up to 1.7, so I run it at 2.6@1.62volts. I got my winchester pretty early on, its just 1$ cheaper now, several months later, so I don't regret getting what I did when I did. Forgive me for calling PCI E PCIX, a thousand lashes I surely deserve. I think you socket 754 guys started the club because your single channel memory and lack of dual core makes you feel inadequate. :p
