hey guys, i really like alot of your setups and im thinking about ordering a couple jerker desks, but im wondering if any of you have any pix of a corner setup. i have 2 Dell 24's 2405, and they are just too big for the desk i have, but i also need room for my laptop and a place to do writing and reading for college. im thinking a corner setup would be the best because it would mean i would have to move my chair the least to go from one task to another. i really like the look of the tall jeker with the top shelf but im thinking if i get 2-3 of these it will look really dumb when it meets in the corner and if i dont push them together then their will be a big section in the corner that is wasted. does ikea sell a piece that can attach in the corner to put them together?

There is no corner piece that I know of.

There's no corner piece per se, but you might want to look at getting the Gallant from Ikea.

Well, I promised a while back I'd post pics of my new Jerker desks when I got them set up. A few months ago I was looking in this thread for pictures, trying to decide if I wanted to buy a Jerker. Since the thread is old, a lot of the pics were dead, so it was hard to get a real grasp of the desk. Now that I have one (two actually :)), I wanted to post a few pics so it can help others see the desks "out in the wild" :D.

It's not yet 100% complete, as I need to move both of my PCs into their new Lian Li V1000 cases (server gets a V1000B that I used on Project Fury, and the gaming rig gets a brand new V1000 Plus), but you can get the idea for now.

I bought 2 of the 63" Jerkers (black), a drawer unit for one, 4 cable management trays (awesome!), 2 shelves, and a desk lamp.

I ran all my network stuff into one of the drawers of one Jerker (Vonage router, my other wireless/firewall/print server, 5 port Gig switch, cable modem). I drilled a hole in the back and velcroed everything up real nice. I mounted 4- and 6-port Isobars on the support columns so I wouldn't have 28 plugs running down on the floor. My Isobars are plugged into my big ass APC rackmount UPS in the corner. One shelf has been setup for my laptop (with Gig-E ran on the underside of the Jerker for big file transfers).

I thought the wire management trays were going to be lame, but they actually work great (once you get past having to drill holes into your brand new desk). As you will see in my pics I have next to no wires showing on the floor, which is amazing once you consider how much equipment I have on these desks. The few wires showing on my main desk will be cleared up as I now have 4 plug liberators for those nasty power bricks. For all those who haven't seen these things, here's a pic:

I also didn't put my gamepad cable away after playing BF2 last night  so that's coiled up on the desk too. Normally I am quite compulsive about wiring, considering I work in server racks and network closets all day and am tired of miles of cable clutter.

I'm left with one shelf that I will most definitely not use EVER (no room in the way I have the desks set up), so if anyone is interested to buy it, PM me and we can work something out. I live in NY and the nearest Ikea to me is in Paramus NJ, which is quite a hike so I'm not going all the way down there to get $25 back.

Well, enough talk. Here's the pics of my setup:

Hope this helps anyone considering buying a Jerker. It's a great desk!

Here is mine. It changes every now and then (as far as what's on my desk or how clean it is, how my speakers are angled, etc).

Just the picture I needed! Thanks man! That setup is pure beauty!!!

anyone know where I can get some of those look alike black tabletop or any in black? Notice they sell the blue ones but I have to travel to Seattle :(

Ikea sells black table tops so you could make your own "Jerker". Look under Vika Amon. Only available instore though, they're pretty large.

hehe

thanks :)

at first i was like...v710? what the...then i remember my phone lol

(racing tires came to mind first)

Will the Jerker fit in the back of a honda accord.

There is no IKEA in Michigan, am going to Chicago and plan to get one of from there if it fits in my honda Accord.

Any ideas ??

It's pretty unlikely that it will fit in your Honda. I had to borrow my dad's truck to get mine home.

it fit in the back of my 98 honda civic ex 2dr with the back seats folded down.. :D and when i mean fit it JUST fit.. had to move the seats up a lil bit but it fit nice and snug

Put mine in my 90 honda accord LX, but those have huge trucks...still had to pull down the seat...

Thanks for all the replies. I have a 2001 Honda accord 2 dr. My seats fall down also but there is a small square hole available to put something through. I am assuming it will fit through that.

It depends a lot I guess on what size Jerker you're getting. I got the 53" one (the one without the top shelf) and there was no way it would fit in my Civic, hence, borrowing my dad's truck.

I got the 53" (I think) Jerker and it fit in my 2002 RSX. I had to drop the back seats down and move the front seats up quite a bit. But it fit in there and was no problem.

hmm i got the big one and it fit just fine in mine

What sizes are available? I wanted one, but when I looked on ikea.com they only showed one size and it's a bit too large for my place.

after seeing the nice Jerker set ups in this thread... i kinda want to get one for myself...

question tho for those with a Jerker.... does it come with a keyboard tray?...

The jerkers don't come standard with a keyboard tray, however it is available as an accessory.

don't mean to totally steal your idea, but how did you get those motherboard in a frame? Any tips? It really looks cool..

any of you jerker owners know if ikea also sells like a bookcase/shelving unit that matches the jerker? i ask cuz i wanna get the jerker but my current setup is a desk with matching bookcase that i put my books/dvds on, adn id like to keep the same style setup. thanks. =)

Well I finally broke down, decided to chuck my old bowed ikea desk and get a birch/silver jerker. How I managed to get it in and out of my small 2000 altima is a story in of itself. I'll post pictures after I set it up tonight.

oh just wait my friend, it is going to open this summer/fall. 21 acres, 400 employees, OH YAH!

I have finally joined the ranks of the Jerker Elitists. Was browsing IKEA last night and went into the Scratch and Dent section and found a complete Jerker for $80. The only problem was a 1/2" scratch on the top of the desk and one on the shelf, and that was it.
