I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!

anyone know where to buy that bs-03 side cooler? Would work wonders for that hotspot above the vid card :)

I've been looking for the BS-03 as well and cannot find it.

Ive not seen the BS-03 but performancepc sells the BS-01 that bolts to the A05 vent.

On a side note, Has anyone seen a retailer that has the Zalman ZM-MFC2 in stock? I need one for the next phase of my A05 build :)

Yeah I got the BS-01 from there, but finding the BS-03 is impossible. It seems like it'd work great too.

Have you tried Ebay for the fan controller? Or do you really want a retailer?

Didnt have any luck on ebay, Also froogle has only two retailers listed carrying the zalman, Both are sold out atm.

no luck on ebay for the bs-03 :(

maybe i'll get in touch with lian-li's North American distributor and see if i can get one.

I just took a look at my BS-01. You can remove the blower and a 120 mm fan seems to fit perfectly in there. I'd imagine you could get some spacers to mount the fan off the back wall of the housing a bit, cover up the holes on the back wall and it might just work.

ok quick questoin....is it better to face my psu so the 120mm fan is facing down? or keep it like how it is in the picture..but it seems that not much air is getting through...will i get mroe air flow by facing it down? i noticed my psu is getting pretty hot..

also put an extra 120mm to blow into the gpu/sound card is this a good idea?

If you're planning on leaving the side off then I wouldn't find it necessary to have that fan blowing into the upper part of the case. Taking the side off of my case drops GPU temps by at least a few degrees because heat isn't being trapped anymore. If you're going to put the side on then yeah, finding a way to get cool air in the top of the case should help quite a bit.

You should get better airflow to the psu with the fan on the bottom. The HDD cage would be pretty restrictive in trying to pull air through it like that. I have mine mounted with it on the bottom and it seems to be fine.

Pretty much where I'm having a fan put to help exhaust the GPU heat, though I'm hoping to keep the noise down by running it at 7v and I'm using some Acousti sound dampning fixings as well.

Hopefully will take delivery of the case sometime this week, as soon as I get it I'll post pictures (sans components, wanted to get the case first :))

exactly what i was thinking. i keep the case closed normaly..gonna change the psu to face down

Cleaned up the wiring in my A05 a bit, switched PS to my Silverstone 750 model ( love the black color!) and will be adding Watercooling soon. Enjoy!

Very nice Magnum, but why doesn't the Southbridge have a heatsink?

The P5N-E doesn't come with one. I personally added a cheap Zalmon heatsink to mine partly because of that hot air pocket in the top of the case.

what's your thoughts on the radgrillz? I'm torn between the style that you have and the brick one. How sturdy are those slats going across?

The slats give in when i press them, But they work fine for what i have it for.

Yeah, you have the black one which is aluminum iirc. The silver one is steel, I have the steel one on my PC-101a. You'd need a hammer to bend it.

Having a nightmare trying to source one of these in the UK :( , does anyone have any links to anyone with them in stock?

wasup, Hi every one, i'm from Guatemala, so sorry for my bad english ! :D , i buy this case from performance-pc, whit a window, y replace whit other one whit 12cm holes to put 2 fans blowing cold air inside the case 'n put the front 'n rear fans blowing the hot air ! later i'll put some pics ! saludos desde Guatemala ! ;)

Here :D (see picture below).

That picture was taken during some test fitting with more hardware. You can see where I am going to place the PSU (its only tied in with string right now). I have a semi-worklog going on at another forum.

I know only two places that even try to carry them in stock, www.overclockers.co.uk and www.kustompcs.co.uk. Personally I'd recomend Kustom PCs for their superior customer service. Unfortunately they're currently out of stock but if you e-mail them, they'll send you a mail as soon as it's in stock, without an obligation to buy if you've been lucky and got it elsewhere in the mean time.

Ye Kustom is just down the road from me and that`s the 2 sites I use mostly but both out unfortunately

Just e-mail him :) The case is worth waiting for! I can pick it up and hold it at arms length easily with one hand but it's definately not flimsy. My only complaint is the case speaker's stuck down already in the middle, which is a bit of a pain.

heres a quick update....put the drive cover and a matrix oribtal

ignore the finger prints...and my bezel isnt really the same black..picture makes it look too purplish..

i love it..very customizable i think it has the fan controller feature..got it used from another hardforum user...it originally came with the buttons, but i bought a new aluminum bezel which makes it look cleaner

My room is yellow-ish and I didn't use any flash so the only light source was my desk lamp that I usually have turned upside-down pointing at the white cieling on the other end of the room. On top of which I don't like the dig camera and personally worry a lot more about getting an actual clear image (rare) than one with awesome colors (even rarer).

Speaking of my case.... it is up and running and everything fits inside it with the doors/front panel on. I know the below pics look messy but thats because I'm still fiddling with some bits. My main point though is that a 3*120mm watercooling system will fit inside the case quite well if modded properly. I think it would be possible to mount the rad on the top too but you would lose at least the 1-2 PCI slots and a 5.25" bay.

I think someone willing can do it up top. Yes you will loose 5.25 and some pci, it would also be some interesting tube managment.

Heres a reference shot.

This one is a lil blurry, sorry.

someone already did do it. look in project mods. Stormshadow I think did water cool a A05 w/ a triple rad.

double rad actually... (sig)

about to put a single rad to the loop

but that still wouldn't count :)

I would love to have internal wc in mine but I don't want to block any expansion ports. Do you think a single 120mm rad. on the front fan would cool a e6400 @ 3ghz and a nb? Also, would the internal temps increase because of a radiator on front?

don't forget the rear (intake) fan as an option as well.

i'm going to be adding a 120mm rad to that fan to go along w/ my 240 rad.

all internal .com
ftw

lol

I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. The only concerns I would have would be possible space issues between the top GTX and any optical drives you have, but I think you'd be okay. I know for a fact that a single GTX fits into the A05 just fine, but I haven't seen a pic with two. At worst you might have to plug in the external power plugs and stuff before you actually install the card so you didn't have to mess with smaller working areas, but it should fit. The only other thing to consider would be heat. You'd probably want to mod the case to have an exhaust fan over the GTXs or some sort of blower setup because that will get hot real quick.
