$199 - 50 new every 2 on Verizon with online orders, no rebate required, starting Friday :D (happy dance). Snapping one up for sure!
 
Got mine for $349 from t-mobile. Not as low of a price I'd like, but it's okay.

Regardless, the phone is amazing! I'm loving it a hell of a lot and even some of the custom ROMs are great. Running 6.5 on it and reflashing was not too difficult. All the apps on it are great too :D

Most pleased thus far.
 
Gaiden133, did they unlock the CDMA versions yet to flash to 6.5 or just the GSM ones? I'm going to be ordering with saturday delivery once the Verizon site shows the phones tonight and would love to have 6.5 ready and waiting if it's available. I've already re-collected my apps/games in anticipation :D. Glad to hear you like the phone, I'm really looking forward to getting it myself!

EDIT: No CDMA HardSPL unlocker is available yet :( per ppcgeeks.

I went to go buy a Sprint HTC Touch Pro and they said it was delayed till September 18th. I guess that's good and bad as I wanted one, but my wallet is thanking me for one more week, LOL!

VzW atleast got the phone listed on the "New Products Page".

And listed in the "Phone & Devices" menu and detail page.

But, when I tried to upgrade online, aftter logging in, the TP2 disappears.

Online Chat couldn't even find the phone. And I especially like this little clunker called "customer service":

UPDATE:

Finally ordered through telesales. Couple of notes.

- The website is currently bugged, I wouldn't plan on ordering from there. But check if it's fixed by logging in and seeing if you can place to TP2 in cart.
- There is no "Online Discount" currently for the TP2, even if the web chat CSR says there is one. The only "rebate" is via a MIR located inside the box the TP@ comes in.
- Online shipping, which is generally "overnight" can not be used with the TP2 as of today (and probably the near future) as it's a new device and the telesales rep told me all new devices have to go through "Fraud prevention" dept. to verify shipping location.

So, I may get my TP2 next Tuesday. Thank goodness, as it's a pain in the ass to use my phone right now. I'm so glad I have a few of my top contacts with custom ring tones, and I have a numberical pad ont he front.

I just ordered it Verizon via telesales TP2 for Overnight Saturday delivery ($19.99 shipping is not bad at all). I'll have it tomorrow before noon! I'm frigging pumped for this phone.

Just the GSM, to my knowledge. I'm using ENERGYRom "Genesis" WinMo 6.5 by NRGZ28 right now. It's not that bad at all and I definitely like it a lot more than the stock 6.1 that it came with. Couple complaints here and there, but overall pretty damn solid.
 
I have my TP2 incoming at $249 (incl. 50 NE2) - 100 account credit = 149, plus 20 for overnight Saturday delivery :D. Can't wait to play with it tomorrow! I have the tracking info which says Sept. 12th by 12pm :).

Some people report being told the same silliness you were, but it is absolutely 100% false. My phone shipped within two hours of my order and is incoming for tomorrow (Saturday). A couple have reported having to wait for "fraud prevention" for real, not sure what triggers that but it is something that happens after the fact when billing it to your VZW account rarely instead of a credit card. Saturday delivery via overnight FedEx was given to some people for free, but since I"m getting the rebate as an account credit I'm happy enough even having paid for the extra shipping.

Yeah, looking forward to 6.5 myself, even if I have to wait for the official one (hopefully they unlock it prior to that ROFL). There's been virtually no status updates/progress on the CDMA unlocks so far over at ppcgeeks.

I ordered a nice shiny 8GB MicroSDHC card to go with the phone also... the card came today and is now fully loaded with programs/games to install, as well as a GPS program (it runs at the full 800x480 resolution too :eek:). I need to find a random local store with some cheapie earbuds though... I don't have any to use for the 3.5mm jack :(.

Mine is out for delivery! Shit, it's actually coming today! I'll have pics up within 3.5 hours! Got the phone for $199 - $100 rebate, and my Ozone sold for $212 on ebay. So basically, they just paid me $100 to upgrade.
 
Okay I have it and this thing is absolutely unreal. Screen is BEAUTIFUL, it's VERY fast, no lag or build quality issues like the touch pro 1. Web browsing is fantastic.
 
I'm out of my place now, but am typing this from my shiny TP2! It is as amazing as I'd hoped...
 
Is the VZW TP2 as good as the other carriers? I ask since I have a friend from VZW who may be interested in getting it. I'm on T-Mobile. Apparently, the touch pro was neutered by VZW and sucked compared to the other carriers.

Im assuming its great, hearing some of you liking it :)

It's actually better than other carriers; it has a 3.5mm headphone jack!

Yep it is... same but cheaper = win!

To the person asking on 6.5 it will be upgradeable.
 
The TP2 can successfully drive my Beyerdynamic DT770's 80ohm to uncomfortably loud levels with very good sound quality!

EDIT: Wow, the soundstaging is fantastic here. Superior to my ipod I'd say, but the ipod has a slight edge in quality of the bass.
 
This is most definitely a drool-worthy phone... I wish I had the money to spare after buying a laptop :'(

Verizon is 199 and you walk out the door. Sprint is a different story, with Sprint its 450 dollars and you walk out the door. You do however have a mail in rebate that if you "qualify" then you can send it in and wait 10 to 14 weeks for a 100 dollar rebate.

Im leaning on telling Sprint to kiss my A$$ because I used to be with Verizon and I could have gotten the HTC Pro 2 for 199 upgrade to my Razor phone. Sprint tho wants 450 bucks off the bat. Rip off if you ask me.

No background hiss before the track starts, and no noise from other components (radios, etc)? I get faint noise on the Touch Pro. My iPod Touch has a much lower noise floor.

I want a Zune HD but since I don't watch many videos on the go, I think I'd rather spend the bucks on a new phone that does audio well. (Saves Verizon HTC Pro rant for another post in a more relevant thread).

To be honest you still come out cheaper with Verizon and the most important part is you part with way less money at the counter than what you will do with sprint. Also verizons version has the 3.5 mm jack.

As I have stated sprint is a big time ripoff.

Yes, the Verizon version is 100% uncrippled. It technically is the best version due to the more power-efficient CPU (7600A Qualcomm vs. 7600), and is the cheapest by far :D.

There's also service quality to take into account and data speeds... Sprint has sucked for everyone I know when they've tried it, from a couple of friends who moved out to NJ, another in CT, and another in NY. My mother tried Sprint for awhile and it barely worked in our county. So, I've never personally even considered trying it. Verizon on the other hand has been rock solid for me always.
 
Sprint speeds are great for me, but $450 up front is a lot. when i bought my mogul it was $400 up front with $100MIR that only took 5-6 weeks.

I just got my phone. This device is simply amazing. On the hardware side an iPhone would be a BIG downgrade. It's fast, the speaker is BETTER than a lot of laptops, I kid not. The screen and keyboard are FANTASTIC! Watching YouTube on this thing ROCKS!!!!!
 
Yeah this phone is off the hook. Best mobile device I've ever used.

It's also amazing how much better it becomes after installing a bunch of stuff from XDA Developers. They've already fixed every single annoyance I had with the phone.
 
Seriously. This phone is the best phone I've ever used.

Using 9.14 EnergyROM Standard with Manila 2.5 = pure sex. Wish my PIM Backup would restore the entire way, but ehh its okay.
 
Will this phone run on all the networks including Europe and get 3G here and in Europe? I might go with the Verizon version and I know they don't use GSM so I'm wondering if their version got rid of GSM. Also is it locked so I can't pop in a SIM card in Europe and use it? If it is, is it unlockeable easily?
