don't own the game but I get a good enough feel of the gameplay...a lot of games probably are not worth full price so it's not really about Hitman...either way I think they took a lot of the nostalgic Hitman out of the game and made it more mainstream to appeal to the new generation of gamers who never played the earlier games (8 years is a long time between games)...Purist seems too frustrating...Normal seems too bland...there's no real perfect middle ground
it's like they tried to make Hitman more like Deus Ex: Human Revolution where stealth is encouraged but they forgot to tweak to make it work in a different game setting
I wish. DX:HR does all that a lot better than this does. It was my co GOTY last year. You had freedom. It was fun. It didn't penalized you for blowing your nose practically. A lot better game all the way around.
I hope I haven't scared people off. Absolution is a pretty darned good game in its own right.
I remember months ago people were worried that this would be a Splinter Cell Conviction clone. That would have been better and more fun in some ways as well. SCC is an underrated and overlooked gem. I still play Deniable Ops.
If they'd make this game a straight clone of DX:HR with Agent 47 you wouldn't even be seeing me here on the boards right now.
That being said: If you see a nice sale and I think GMG is running 25 percent off or some such? That's well worth it IMHO. Just take it for what it's worth.
It's not Blood Money 2. If THAT had happened, then I wouldn't be sleeping, eating, or covering other basic amenities like that practically.
