970 can maintain 60fps on pretty much max details at 1080p? Nice, I hope the SLI scaling isn't too bad for 1440p.

Though AMD's performance is yet again a bit subpar, with Fury X matching only a 970, but nothing a good driver update can't fix.

Are these services you all pay for? I'm trying to do this myself but no luck so far.

Please keep this on Hardforum only.

I use the free option. All the steam client needs to do is verify that you are connected to a certain country IP and it will decrypt, no real bandwidth usage per se.

According to nVidia's website, God rays seem to be the one feature that takes the greatest amount of performance hit, according to them, at 1080p, 980ti can manage it at around 96fps with god rays off, but dropping to about 58fps with god rays on ultra, about 40% drop.

everything else seem to drop at most 20% when turned on ultra, barring microgrid setting, which murders framerate.

Looks like their website is down? Thanks though, I'll keep trying. I will be ecstatic if I get this working today.

GhostVPN is a good free provider, not sure if they have Australia though.

Played an hour of it and I need to get some sleep. Gotta go to work in 3 hours :(

So far it looks great :D

I've got vyprvpn installed, trying to connect to new zealand but every time I do I get an error =\

Edit: NM, unpacking now xD

Also, I guess to play this after it installs I need to be in offline mode until midnight?

The driver isn't out, there is no SLi support.
Andrew's wording was vague... The game-ready driver may not have SLi support either.

Game is capped at 60 unless you mod a config, which probably breaks it.

Looks like my hopes of 1080p/60 with my 980 should be no problem. On the other hand, 4K definitely doesn't seem feasible without lowering things a lot. Not too shocking I suppose - 1080p it is.
Very much looking forward to this game.

Run the game with LOW GOD RAYS. I don't see a difference between Low and Ultra, not even slightly. But it cuts fps nearly in half.
The god rays option should have been a toggle... On (Low) or Off. Everything else is GPU suicide.

Meanwhile in next-gen world (from Eurogamer tech show-off).

"But that's not the whole story. On top of this, Xbox One is unique in its suffering of a stuttering issue, halting the game experience for up to a second during play. It's a glaring hitch downward, and matching runs to the gates of Diamond City shows Xbox One dropping to a record 0fps (zero) while PS4 turns the same corner at 28fps. Each has their blips, but having tested two separate Xbox One and PS4 consoles, the results are always the same across the world at large; we get sizeable stutters on Microsoft's console that aren't present on PS4" :)

"Meanwhile, for those with PC as their platform of choice, all the signs look good for a smooth experience even on budget kit. We're currently putting together an in-depth guide to settings tweaks and recommended setups, so expect that in the next couple of days"

Leave it to Nvidia Gameworks to throw in some incredibly taxing effect that isn't even needed.

The OSD in MSI Afterburner isn't working for me for some reason. How bout you guys?

Probably not, they would have mentioned that I would think.
"The PC version has been much smoother in that regard, running between 40 and 60fps on Ultra settings on my GeForce GTX 970, and maintaining 60 when I lowered only the anti-aliasing settings."

Had that happen to me in Arkham Knight. Try adding the exe to the Rivatuner Statistics Tuner program and messing with settings there. If that doesn't work see if disabling the Nvidia stuff makes it work.

Hoping my 290X can handle this 4K@30Hz. I wanna play it on my TV. Anyone running it at 4K on similar hardware and have a settings guide?
