why's it so important to plan out your build beforehand?...I never had any issues with any of the previous Fallout games just jumping in and choosing my perks etc on the spot...

why's it so important to plan out your build beforehand?
Hoping I can make a female stealthy build that uses bare knuckles or tomahawks and runs around half naked.

Fallout is not a graphics intensive powerhouse series of games...Fallout 4 added a few bits of eye candy but I still don't see it crippling anyone's system
What system specs do you have? Maybe after you figure out what you need to replace the most (GPU) then you can run it. There is a For Sale / Trade forum here remember.![]()
it's not that these things aren't possible with any build but a poorly planned build could take you 5 levels to get where you want to be ... not a big deal if you are a grinder but maybe more of a concern for someone who is not ... it will be interesting to see how all these different styles of play like FO4 ... it is difficult to serve that many masters but Bethesda can do it if anyone can
I got an almost 8 year old system with a Q9550 in it and a Raid card in the lone 16x slot for a server\htpc, I have a MSI GT70 with a 670MX and a Lenovo X230.
Right now i'm hoping the 670mx will pull the game, but if not, I think i'll end up upgrading the card to a 970m

I dont think it will make sense to upgrade the HTPC with high end components only to have it generate more noise and heat, also competing for the TV to play the game.
Though really, with the way life is right now, ill be lucky if I could even find time to play the game period.
It's been a while since I played FO3 or NV, but in those games I believe perks existed independently. It was just a list you chose from. In FO4 they are tied to your SPECIAL stats.why's it so important to plan out your build beforehand?...I never had any issues with any of the previous Fallout games just jumping in and choosing my perks etc on the spot...
yeah it seems mainly about avoiding the grind and maximizing your skills...for me the grind is what makes open world type of games so much fun...I'm going to spend hundreds of hours exploring and playing so I don't need to get the fastest route to a particular point...I'm fine with taking the long way
for me games like Dark Souls require a specific plan on the type of build you want as you can get screwed with bad choices where you can't progress any further...Fallout and Elder Scrolls don't have that type of penalty
Ok so I just tried to activate this on steam using the key given to me by gmg and I go an error:
Sorry, but the following items are not available for purchase in this country. Your purchase has been canceled.
Is it because it's not available for pre-load or did something go seriously wrong?
What country are you in?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just opened GMG on my browser and Hola VPN'D FROM CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ouch lol :O
before you buy it again sunday you could always try to vpn to china with steam to use the key?
not sure if that works.
The VPN works with the browser, not steam.
i know how Hola works, but you can set up a vpn to take over all outside connections in windows.
and access steam through a chinese ip and to steam it looks like you log in from china so a Chinese key should work.

It should be fine, and wont screw up any games you currently own.
I would think the only time a problem would happen is if you are buying the game directly with steam, then it would actually affect how much money valve makes, but you are buying a key from an outside source it doesnt really matter to valve where you got the key as long as its not originally purchased with a stolen credit card.
And since it was a GMG key you know it was an authentic key from an authorized dealer, the price you paid for it is of no concern to valve.
Well that was a nice 20min preload. I bet it will take longer to unpack the preload and install!

Sorry if repost. Pretty sure the narrator is Zac Quinto.
Yep, I never preload anymore, since for whatever reason, unpacking a 30GB+ game - even on a fast 850 Pro - takes longer than just waiting for the moment it unlocks and then downloading it unencrypted. 200Mbps connection.
nerdrage! Fallout without Ron Perlman is unpossible!
