Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

I hope I can still power level acrobatics by going into someone's house and backflipping down their stairs six hundred times

people are this excited over a 19 year old game?...it's not like there haven't been mods that have improved the graphics...I'm not sure an 'official' remaster will have better graphics then some mods

It clearly isn't even in the same universe asset quality wise

I'll get this when it drops to $5, and if the Skyrim "Special Anniversary Edition" is anything to go off of, it will take about 5 yrs or more.

Clearly.

They’ve added much more than I had even hoped for.

But the manner in which they remade everything while attempting to preserve every ounce of what makes Oblivion Oblivion, is what’s so impressive here.

Don't buy the game on CD Keys I'm stuck with an error and I can't get a code just opened a support ticket.
First time I ever had a problem on their site besides buying a game out of region once. There is a big thread on Steam people have the same problem
good way to save some bucks I might buy the game on Steam Download it transfer the fille to a different drive then refund it and use the Key later.

I'm hoping the Game Pass version is the same as the Steam version. I know sometimes they use an older build on Game Pass. Maybe I'll just spend the money for the Deluxe Ed on Steam.

Literally just sprinted outside to see

Game feels like it has that classic Unreal microstutter to me

9950x3d & 5090 @ 4k Maxed settings, dlss performance - it floats around 90 - 120 fps. It isn't quite smooth. Framegen obviously boosts it.

It's brown as fuck

It looks much sharper in actuality than the jpegd ass Steam picture

But the color grading seriously sucks - it's like crushed/too dark and brown/muted.

Why do you think they decided to make the game brown and not green? Everyone is complaining about this but I would think the developers would have made it green?

Welp finally made it outside. Let me tell you the performance needed for 4k maxed details is alot. But the visual are absolutely amazing! I even think it looks better than Starfield.

I think I will update drivers and give this another whirl. FG seems to be okish right now.....

Maybe they anticipated the sheer number of gamers who would shit all over this so instead of waiting they applied the brown themselves?

Ugh, the stutters are the same reason I didn't like playing STALKER all that much. Hopefully it's not too bad.

I found DLAA on helps with the performance and stuttering for me. But, I am using older drivers and a 4090. FG seems ok for me at least.

If this ends up on GOG cheap one day I might check it out. Lack of mod support is a huge con. Would rather have just seen them look to port the game to Creation or Creation 2, or the like.
