Elder Scrolls 6 (VI)

Yeah, screw those guys for wanting to be successful and make money. Nobody should be in the business for making money, am I right?
Personally I have no issue with people making money when they put out good products, demonstrate goodwill towards their customers and exercise humility when they fuck up. What I have a real issue with is the pathological liars (including dishonest overhyping) and psychopaths that have taken over this and other industries.....it seems to me that Howard falls more into the latter rather than the former category.

Multi billion dollar corporation doesn't demonstrate whatever nebulous thing "goodwill towards customers" and "overhypes" (aka markets) their products in some random gamers' opinions, oh what a surprise and horrible thing to do! /s

They are looking to make money, not be your best friend. Take some responsibility for yourself.

The length some of you guys will go to defend companies who release crap products is strange. Imagine how much more money Bethesda would be making if they had actually released a great product.

Uh oh, someone understands business and isn't just a consumer. Quick, attack them!

I do take responsibility, hence why I call these pricks out and don't give them money, rather than following the herd and making excuses as to why I should "Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product".

Some of you guys really are something else. The mental gymnastics and rhetoric needed to twist the points some of us are making about Bethesda's poor quality games and ethically questionable marketing claims... Oh well, enjoy your AAA slop and keep pre-ordering and buying on day 1 just like the marketing tells you to!

of course you give them money...you buy almost every single game you complain about...the difference is you buy them years later when they hit a price you can afford...the <$10 sales (or the Australian equivalent)

Buying games year or years later is the most sensible thing a consumer can do. You get the most and you pay the least. It's a lot better than the suckers who pre-order orbuy day one, who pay the most for the broken incomplete games or for the games that are outright garbage that marketing managed to fool them into buying. Patience and discernment is consumer power.

You mean the price they are worth, if that, and that's assuming they aren't in my backlog as a freeby or Humble monthly inclusion. And I really doubt that $10 is padding their bottom line. A stark difference compared to the foaming at the mouth corporate apologists such as yourself actively berating anyone who dares to challenge the notion of paying $80 USD for AAAA slop at release.

Polonyc2 is a AAAA studio's wet dream....no self control, no capacity for independent thought, an insatiable need for instant gratification, staunchly defends and justifies paying full price for broken garbage products that consumers would not tolerate in any other industry. The diametric opposite of a smart consumer.

what are you blabbering about?...I rarely buy games at launch...at least get your facts straight before going on one of your unhinged rants

If you say so princess....perhaps you should follow your own advice before shit posting about me when there are plenty of examples where I have posted about buying games at or shortly after release.

"Ethnically" questionable? I don't care what Todd says. He has always come across as an untrustworthy person when I have. He just has that look to him, combined with the cadence and tone of his voice. I have never made a purchase decision based on what he says. That doesn't mean he isn't talented. Bethesda games are still influenced by the Terminator games he made in the mid-1990s.

He doesn't even play games right now. I wonder if he's even put his PC together yet.

I mean if you only "live" 2 years more years its best to buy the game when it comes out!! There hasn't been a ton if quality games out there I'm talking MMOs and RPGs with alot of Replayability. Wartales was one of the first games in a long time to really impress me with good game Design. I like Oblivion too but keep putting it to the side.

not yet...I've actually been more into upgrading my home theater TV...researching the 2025 OLED's and they all have some issue

don't you ever take a break from gaming?...but you also play games without looking at any frame rate graphs or other performance measurements because you don't want to find out that there are issues...so it's the case of see no evil, hear no evil...pretend that no issues exist

if it doesn't fit...you must acquit

I think when Bethesda finally shows the first gameplay footage from ES6 (Game Awards in December?) people are going to be really impressed...Elder Scrolls and Fallout just hit differently and people will eat it up despite its flaws

look at the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video...it had no business being as popular as it was...gamers and non-gamers ate it up...I didn't think it was possible to make a good Fallout TV series but Todd Howard and Jonathan Nolan somehow did the impossible

I agree, the show was a solid 8/10.

I can't wait to see how they ruin it.

If they are anything like Netflix, they will purposely wait until the second season to fuck it up and intentionally piss off the fan base. 🤣
TBH I expect it will nostalgia bait HARD, then immediately go as low-budget as possible while casting as many buzzword tokens as possible to reach as much of an audience as possible and drive the show into the ground after 3 more seasons.

Someone really took that AI video from a while back to heart and was I'm gonna make that shit

Bethesda Gives an Update on The Elder Scrolls VI Development

Bethesda provided an update on ES6 development in a recent interview that essentially amounts to the studio saying nothing more than it's still coming...in a new interview with Game Informer, three lead members of Bethesda spoke about how things are going with The Elder Scrolls VI...

Its just a job for them for better or worse the problem is the fan base will be there even if you're not.

8 years later no leaks of gameplay they are more zippered up than Rockstar games and GTA6.
