The part where Inferno is fun to run because your skill in playing determines if you're going to die; not if 5 elites immune to snares or damage come rushing you and you get one shotted. I've seen my buddy play Inferno enough to know that it's not fun; more like infuriating. It's a test of wills only because it tests your desire to hit respawn or not.

They abused broken mechanics, hence why they were able to beat the game so fast.
I'm very much at the "fuck this game" point of inferno.
Ok, can anyone tell me how to beat elite mobs in ACT2 with my poor monk? Seriously, wtf? I just spent a million boosting my templar and still cannot get the shit done. I've been farming for days in ACT1 and basically getting most of the items under 300 dps and only a few others. So do I need a 50 mln weapon to face these mobs?
So game balance on the hardest level is what kills it for you? You are aware they can tweak that right? Better too hard than too easy. Honestly, I just think with some tweaks and some better gear inferno would be just about perfect. Honestly, I think the majority of you guys forgot what vanilla D2 was like in the beginning.
See how stupid that sounds to you?
No one's paid anything to win yet except maybe some shady gold seller sites that are horribly overpriced ($30 for a mill?). And melee have solo'd all of Inferno already. Diablo himself is actually easier as melee than ranged. The answer either way is, AH. This game is pay to win if you didnt know. If youre on inferno, melee cant do it.

my favorite, is when they say their character is too nerfed or the game is broken when they cannot beat HELL or INFERNO the first go around. Kids these days expect to play the game through easy mode and win all up front without a little work/skill.
It sounds stupid because you're trying to compare BF3 to Diablo 3. You can draw out the analogy to any loot based RPG game and call it "stupid" by extension. Diablo 2 was all about trading that sniper scope to another player if you didn't realize. If you wanted FPS unlock progression, I have no idea why you bought a Diablo game.

Well I bet that something that you could use or was within 10 levels of you dropped in Diablo 2 on occasion. RNG in this game has sent me to the AH for everything since the beginning of Normal except for some run speed boots with resists that had 1/4 the dps of my other boots. Those were only 6 levels lower than me at the time I got them.
Everything else is 10 levels lower or for another class. What is my incentive for playing? So I can spreadsheet on the AH? Plain dumb if you ask me. You can't tell me that it makes you feel good to never get an item for your character. Ever. I really mean 0 upgrades and I can kite and kill anything. For some gold and trash to trade to someone else because that is fun? I mean seriously never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever get an item for my class?
Come on man. Feed me some other bullshit than that. I'm smarter than that and I didn't need to go to software design 101 to know that reward system might need some revisions. And if I hear it's ok because it's RNG then RNG has been a bitch for 59 1/2 levels.
Just showing the example of my play experience. Maybe Jesus shone light upon your character and you got some loot that wasn't 10 levels below you. He must really hate me though. I want a blessing too!
I dont think its a secret anymore that their item mod and design system is severely lacking and probably implemented last near the end of the game. It feels like it was done by amateurs to some degree. I could have done a better job myself and im being serious.
The only thing I can hope for is that they are able to do some critical analysis of their game, get some feedback and make some good changes to their items/mod system fairly quickly.
The first day I got this game, I found myself asking where all the unique items with special abilities, attributes, sets, runewords, etc etc went to. Its like, they had this great template from D2 on item design, then decided to discard it and start over. I just hope they can fix it.
I am already starting to get bored of this game and its only been out like 3 weeks. I played D2 on and off for over 6 years.
Regarding the melee, well ok, what like the handful of melee players with the best gear in the world?![]()
How many 5-stack runs are you guys doing before you come to this conclusion? 5? 10? I've found upgrades in hell act 4 diablo that I still use in my defensive set farming act 3. Checkpoint farming elites may be an okay way to get some quick cash, but it will not get you any good upgrades. It's gotta be 5 stack boss farming, and swapping as much MF as you can for the kill. I net +295%MF on siegebreak after 5-stack, and I've gotten a 3-4 rares every time on top of 4+ blues. A lot of time its crap, but I'm slowly decking out my gear, and making significant money with quick AH sells.
AH speeds up the process to get there, but you dont need 10-30 million worth of AH purchases to get items to get to act 3 to farm it yourself. I'm sad that the gear requirement for inferno is pretty high and that endgame is a testament to time more than skill, but if you say you HAVE TO farm for 30Million just to get through inferno Act 3 to farm it yourself, I question if you have the skill to get through inferno regardless of gear.
I'm seeing people post their stats and have no idea how resists vs armor works, or dont understand how to boost their DPS beyond buying an expensive weapon, or stick to some build they saw online and think its the only way to succeed, and yet they say inferno is impossible?
This isnt much different from how D2 was, it was not a straight shot linear progression. There was heavy farming to get through hell, especially after the synergy patch where they brought hell to a whole new tier of difficulty. I remember hell meph and hell baal dropping normal tier uniques too. I remember farming baal for days on my bowazon finding nothing. In all the time I played D2 and did countess runs, I never saw a zod drop ever, and had to trade for it. I remember parking packs that had every immunity that I had good skills for, and were unkillable by my character.
I honestly think my account is bugged as Hell Act III up to Cadea boss drops level 40 - 44 rares for every other class than me. If what you're saying is true that you're able to find gear in the game and I haven't seen an item since Skeleton King Normal then my account is screwed up. Now the blues in Hell III are level 50 but who wants to wear 20 dexterity and 100 strength gear for a Demon Hunter?
I got to level 59 1/2 before I "quit". Nephew bought the game tonight so I guess I will reroll a wizard as I have rares for all the other classes all the way to 55. All my other character slots are mules and I actually disenchanted all of them one day and have since refilled them again. Everything was a rare.
I am having "HELL" beating Izual on HELL difficulty with my level 60 Barb friend...once IZUAL breaks loose and spawns his brothers, we can almost get a set of the brothers down but IZUAL one-hits the hell out of my wizard and pounds the crap outta the barb. We have tried diff builds, about 10 different ways. I have about 25K HP, 4K Armor, 8.2K DPS....do I just need to get some better gear to fight him with?
O-M-G! My nephew just bought Diablo 3. And he called me to play with him.
I need a stiff drink. I have to play with him because he is family. I'm going to cut myself.
Why lord? Why me?
There's some folks in Act 3 Inferno in Hardcore mode now.
I really hope they don't nerf or change anything about Inferno. If it can be done in HC, there is definitely nothing wrong with it.
That's the guy before Diablo right? As a wizard you should be kiting the whole time. Dropping either blizzard or venom hydra in this path.
Yeah, I have no issue with him, it is when his adds come out and it all breaks loose. I will switch to blizzard, I have hydra, they seem to run faster than I can when I kite.

In essence, if you ever hear that the game improves dramatically, you can just buy the game again and get all of your characters back.
Ehh... If you're talking about Kripparian, everytime he's in a sticky situation in HC, he presses ESC to pause the game (he does not play with other players) and then logs into his account on a laptop so it instantly boots him.
The issue with Inferno isn't progression. Progression is 100% possible and honestly quite trivial (act and quest bosses are relatively easy). The problem with Inferno goes into core gameplay design.
