Destiny 2

I found a login for a Destiny Beta code but I think that is if you didn't purchase the game.
 
It's up the Install Button is up....not sure if I want to install in on the primary I mean it's going to be deleted anyway I never have much experience on how Blizzard games work of late. I installed under the primary like an idiot so nothing can go wrong lol.
 
Does anyone know if all the pre-order items are the same, regardless of where you pre-order? For instance, I'm to understand that if you pre-order from anywhere you well get a special "exotic weapon - coldheart", right? I see this listed most places. However, only on the Blizzard store do I see "Kill Tracker Ghost" and "Salute Emote" listed as pre-order items? Did anyone who pre-ordered from elsewhere confirm (if possible) their account is flagged for these items as well? Finally, did those who picked up Nvidia keys get an invite to the special pre-order beta, and/or qualify for any pre-order items? In the past i've seen Nvidia codes, evern give out far in advance of release, NOT be considered "pre orders", but it depends from publisher to publisher.
 
So looks like its only available to pre-load if you pre-ordered the game. That's kinda lame if you ask me. I hope they open it up to everyone to pre-load before the beta starts.

It's 16GB and apparently there's only an hour or two of content.
 
All preloaded and ready to go! Excited to finally play this game with KB/M which has been one of my biggest gripes while playing Destiny 1.

I thought Battle.net was only for Blizzard games?...so they're now opening it up for other developers/publishers?
 
I'd probably be in for a theoretical $25 nVidia code. Otherwise, meh. Will give the beta a try...hopefully they let us preload before the day of.
 
terrible scheduling the beta during the week (Mon-Thurs)...wouldn't it have made more sense to start on a Thursday or Friday (like most other betas)?

It is very odd, though I think they want it now so they have time to react to anything that needs tweaking before the console versions launch on the 9th. Having it now gives them time to gauge the reaction to the tweaks they made from the console beta and gives them time to react if anything else needs some work. Like, for example, they upped the frequency of heavy ammo drops so if that change is too much or not enough they now have time to balance before console launch. The PC beta is also getting a new PVP control map that was not in the console beta, so this will also let them see how that goes over.

The worst thing about it is that this weekend is holiday weekend in the US. Seems like a pretty ideal time to let people put it through its paces, right?

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how it runs this week. I'm 60fps or nothing at all, so I'll be curious if I can pull that in 4K or if I'll have to lower a lot of details.
 
I'm pretty ok with the timing, but I work weekends and am off during the week sooooo
 
Honestly I like weekday betas more. When I was young weekend ones were awesome but now that I have a family I spend most of my weekends out with them either camping or exploring places. Most my play time comes after work during the week lol
 
Good schedule for me anyone who works retail ;P

Playing Pokemon Go all morning finally reached level 25 what a pain that way I barly played last year maybe 3 months and went full bore this year.

Agreed, I don't find a lot of time to play during the week. Hoping a preload pops up tonight. I keep checking this thread to see if the preload is available.
 
Can you launch the game says I'm missing EXE from the desktop don't see anything on battlenet.
 
I'm not ready to preorder just yet but if I want to hit the open beta I still create a Battle.net and then download and go for it at the right time?
 
Not sure where the pre-order cut off date is if it's still active during the beta I'm not even going to screw with the story mode because I figure the content won't save anyway just going to mess in the crucible for an hour or so.
 
I picked up a few Blizzard cards at Walley World like 2 months ago for Destiny 2.....
 
Game's only running my GPU @ 1100 MHz (base) even though it's solid at 100% load.
Need to experiment.

EDIT: Fixed by disabling Hardware Accel in the blizz app.

Confirmed, 980 Ti is not enough to max 1920x1200. Looks like a 1080 Ti is in my immediate future.

Have you updated to latest GPU drivers? They heavily emphasized everyone should do that even just for this.
 
I'm IN game looks amazing like x10 better than anything my PS4 could do can't take a screeshot I don't think not sure how really. Looks amazing at 1440P I don't think it would do 4K very well.
Jumping with the spacebar isn't half that bad it's pretty fluid.

No improvement w/ newest drivers.

switching from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080 gives me a 30% fps boost.
82fps --> 110 fps at the starting spot.
