Does anyone know what is the difference between Dell U2311 and U2311H? What does the H mean?

The H stands for Height Adjustable
Has anyone tried using the U2311H in portrait and found text a little blurry compared to landscape? I'm not 100% sure but it feels as if it's due to the orientation of the RGB subpixels.
I haven't with mine, but my older dell 2005FPW S-IPS panel in portrait mode isn't what I would call blurry (just not right), but it makes me feel like my eyes are melting. I can't stand it.
Does anyone know if the PS3 accepts multiple output? HDMI and Optical out at the same time?

I have this monitor and a LG 22" monitor. The LG is slightly smaller, and I was thinking of hooking the ps3 to this monitor instead as it is bigger. This video shows the ps3 video can be connected:

I am not sure about the audio though. I was thinking of running the PS3 audio into my PC SPDIF/IN and using my PC speakers as output. Found this online making it a bit more problematic:

I am getting a replacement tomorrow, I know I can not avoid IPS Glow 100 % but if it's really disturbing when you are using the monitor normally, it shouldn't be acceptable right?
IPS glow is not a fault and is not known to vary between shipped units. I have explained this several times in this thread.
Hm. I have read the entire thread in the last days and I have seen pictures uploaded by people where there is no noticeable IPS glow when looking straight at the monitor. My first one had lots of it in the right corner, the replacement has less. So I think there is a difference. Getting my third one tomorrow.
that has a lot to do qith QA from LG as they really widened the tolerances for eIPS to be so cheap. It also allows for cheaper backlights by making the panel much less opaque than traditional IPS panels...
I don't buy that.
Your picture looks like backlight bleed that happens to be in a corner, not IPS glow.Haudr said:Ok but IPS glow IS visible for me viewed straight-on. In one corner. And it is annoying.
I'm not sure about that, my other screen had some bleed and it looked nothing like this.

Exactly, it's the same situation with the Apple cinema display that only has displayport and requires an expensive adapter(converter) to take dvi/hdmi input.
You see, displayport is a later standard and has the pins required to export an HDMI/dvi signal, so a displayport OUT , CAN output dvi/hdmi without conversions. But a displayport IN , can't accept hdmi/dvi because hdmi/dvi connectors are not designed with compatibility to displayport pin-wise.
This is the only problem of this monitor for me, it only has 1 hdmi/dvi input, so I can't hook up both my PC and console simultaneously and switch from the monitor buttons. Unless I invest in a displayport cable for my PC (since the latest ATI cards all got displayport out and my 5770 does too...)
Ok Dell won't replace my monitors anymore. They said that I just have to accept the Ips glow all over the screen when looking at it straight on. Awesome.
