Cyberpunk 2077

One has to think how sales would have been had it not been broken for consoles on release and not temporarily removed from the digital stores for Playstation and if I recall Xbox. Not sure it will reach the overall life time sales of Witcher 3, but it is doing well.

Yeah, I bought it on 12/20/2024, but didn't really get to start playing it until earlier this year because I could never get it to startup (I think it was the launcher giving me issues with launching the game). Spent weeks with customer service trying to troubleshoot the issue. Game was released on 12/10/2020. Crazy how long ago that was, and how 4 years after release people still had issues.

Didn't they say it passed the sales of Witcher 3 last year?

I can't remember. It was a while ago, and I just gave up. Then I tried again this year on an entirely new setup, and it worked. I tried on my old setup, and it worked. Not sure what it was.

Doesn't matter.. both games are excellent.
 
I have 25 hours in attempts of trying to get into this game but I always end up bored and bounce off. To me it would have been better had it dropped the open world and built a tighter, more focused game. I eventually just get to where I open the map, look at the sea of Ubislop icons, and just say "I don't feel like doing any of this garbage". The skill tree is also pretty meh and the gameplay feels closer to Bethesda-style games than a real FPS.

I could see people that are able to get immersed in the world loving it though.

it was extremely slow at the beginning but after that it picked up but it is still very much on the level of games like Far Cry, assasins creed, gta, etc.

I can totally see driving/flying sims to be the absolute exceptions to this rule, but that's also a genre of games I don't play.

Heheh, I did play Hades 2 with KBM. And Elden Ring. Easier to pull away when you're not locked on target.

But yeah, my childhood full of flight simulators was with the MS SideWinder. If I went back to flight sims, i'd definitely use a stick. Thought about getting one when flying planes in GTA5.

But cyberpunk? No problem, I will say that GTA5 and Saints Row vehicle driving with KBM seemed more smooth than cyberpunk KBM, but cyberpunk cars are kinda designed not to handhold you, thus not masking your driving flaws when making hard and fast turns. For some reason only the bikes in cyberpunk would fix over turning with a magic return back.

I played through CP2077 with mouse & keyboard. Driving was ok, but maybe I should have tried a controller for driving. Flight stick? Wheel? Nah, not going to bother. Not for a game with multiple console ports. I'm sure CDPR put a lot more work into making an XBox controller work well than some flight stick or wheel. Still, driving with KB+M was annoying enough that I mostly used a bike when I needed to drive somewhere. Aside from a few missions where you need to drive a car or truck Jackie's Arch is all you really need for transport. OTOH those missions are easier if you practice driving a car rather than slacking off and just using a bike because it's easier.

In the early days of the game the driving was awful. Now its fine, even by mouse and keyboard.

I tried to do bikes but since my driving style can best be described as "Psychotic drunken jackass wearing a blindfold" I ended up getting tossed off them too much. So cars it is for me.
