Craigslist finds

I didn't even know this section existed, lol. Here's what I got about a week ago after not having a new build since 2012.

Case - $150 - https://www.nzxt.com/products/h440-designed-by-razer
CPU - $350 - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod..._Skylake_Quad-Core_3.4-_-19-117-560-_-Product
Mobo - $350 - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...si_gaming_krait_3x-_-9SIA85V4TD3212-_-Product
RAM - $ - 180 - https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Veng...UTF8&qid=1519099513&sr=1-4&keywords=16gb+ddr4

Total if bought new, $1,030.

Found it all pieced together for $300. Has anyone gotten this lucky before? :)

Nice score you got there. For future reference, you could just type out the product i7-6700. The link isn't needed or you could just embed into the i7-6700 text. It makes it more efficient for the reader instead having to go to each link.

So I made a decent grab today. Picked up a i7-4770 for $100 and an EVGA GTX 970 hybrid for $120.

I'm going drop them into the $80 Dell optiplex I picked up back in decemeber.

Picked up a Dell Optiplex 3020 midtower for $80. It looked like brand new condition too (barely a hint of dust anywhere).

i5-4670
2x4GB Patriot DDR3-1333
3TB Western Digital hdd *New* (Guy thought it was 500GB but didn't care).

I plan on flipping the i5-4670 to cover the cost of the i7-4770.

Now to hunt down a nice deal on a SSD.

Not a Craigslist find, but an ARC find. I spotted a nice looking set of headphones at the ARC, but I didn't really need another set so I went home and looked them up on line...Amazon among others. I raced back down and couldn't find them, (they had been covered up by more merchandise), thank God I found them... I got a pair of Sennheiser HD600's for $8. They sell for $286.00 online. They look like new and sound better than my Beyerdynamic DT990 Premiums. I can't believe the sound. I can't believe my luck!

I just picked up a evga 1060 6gb for 260 bucks the other day. I feel pretty good about what I paid..

Picked up some paper today.

Guy was selling some HP printer paper by the boxes (1 box = 10 reams (500 sheets each ream)) for $15 bucks each. I figure why not, I was running out of all the free paper I stocked up years ago from mail-in rebates deals.

Then I noticed they were the 96 brightness paper which usually runs like $9/ream.

Ended up buying 10 boxes for $150 total.

Flipped 3 boxes for $30 each.

So about $60 spent on 70 reams of 96 brightness paper. This will last me another 5-6 years.

Steal! I have a Brother color laser printer that bleeds but I think it's because of shit paper. Gonna buy a reem of something similar to what you got to see how it looks. Make sure you store it in a drier climate.

Found a brand new Intel Nuc i5 with 16gb ram and a 256 SSD for $150. Guy had two, sold one. As soon as his wife confirmed it had memory and a drive I pounced on it. He said he company bought several two of which they didn't need.

Might use it for a media streamer or flip it for $400 on eBay. Brand new, still has plastic on the top and no OS.

Open it before selling on ebay. I'm sure you have by now though, good find.

Made a great trade on CL yesterday. I traded my MSI i7-6700/GTX 1060 laptop even for an Alienware area 51 with a watercooled i7-5830k, 16gb DDR4, 120gb boot drive, 2tb storage drive, 850 watt psu, dvdrw, and a water cooled 1080ti FE(original hs/fan included). The pc was in mint condition.

Wow, that's a steal of a trade.

Man what a deal. Was the seller drunk or something?

His son really wanted a laptop to ply games on the go. He said he realized he was losing money in the deal but just wanted to make his kid happy. Worked for me. I ordered a 34” 34xx x1440 display today for it. The 1080ti is a beast and the EVGA cool r keeps it in the 40s under full load with the push pull config in the pic.

I would slap my that kid if he were mine.

Made a pretty snazzy $200 combo today.

-i7-4790K (w/ stock cooler!)
-ASUS Z97-PRO
-32GB (4x8) G.Skill DDR3-1866 (Single kit)

Seems like I'm slowly building a fleet of Intel 4th Gen i5/i7 computers.

VERY NICE! I snagged a 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 G. Skill kit last week, which I thought was a good deal. Yours is rocking!

Picked up a "dead" MSI GTX 1080 Ti Duke model for $450

Seller told me the card wouldn't display any video but the fans do spin. He didn't seem much of a computer guy. Seem like he would buy random pallets of stuff and flips them on the side.

I took the gamble and bought it. Plugged into my system and it ended up working flawlessly. I let the card stress tested for 12+ hours and there wasn't a single hiccup.

Maybe he forgot to plug in the two 8-pin power cables?

-------------

Also picked up a Brother MFC-9340CDW color laser printer for $150. Not only does it duplex print but it also duplex scan with the auto-feeder!

The printer's history indicated that it only printed 1100 pages of black & white , 400 pages of color, and 0 paper jams. Still had the original color starter toners with an official brother black toner.

Has both apple airprint and google print. Uploads to cloud storage of preference. Finally got a color laser printer that I like.

Needles to say, I got a good little chuckle out of this one.
Thought I would share.

Picked up a MSI GTX 1070 Aero for $200.

16GB (2x8GB) G.Skill Trident X DDR3-2400 for $50.

And last but not really a treasure to me, I gave away a Thermaltake 750W semi-modular PSU 80% bronze to some starving college kid. So its a treasure for him lol.

My brother is looking for a new GPU,
Found a Nvidia FE 1070 for 220. Guy actually worked 3 stores away from me.

So that MSI GTX 1070 Aero card I bought has a pretty low-end cooler.

So I picked up an EVGA GTX 1080 SC for $320 today to replace it. A lurk-warm ish deal since GTX 1080 cards can be bought for low $300s for Gigabyte or other brands that won't have warranty (PNY, Zotac, OEM).

Also picked up another Brother MFC-9340CDW for $200. Only had a history of 2381 pages printed and still on the original drums and toners.
