    Welp. That makes sense. Sounds like everyone else who has this drive may run into this issue sooner or later. I haven't noticed slowdowns in general so it doesn't really bother me. Thanks for looking into it!

    No problem. Its just the way these drives are designed (TLC flash based drives) - if you look at that review all the TLC drives have this happen after X amount of data is written - only the 970 Pro (MLC flash) doesn't have it happen. Real life you probably won't notice a difference, just synthetic tests.
