It's unlocked on May 10th 12am EST May 9th 11pm CST 10PM MST and 9PM PST.
You're probably seeing May9th on one part of steam but may 10th on another. That's because they use different time zones.
 
Anyone know if you can join games with your friends? And actually be on the same team? Black Ops PC was a fail for that.

I have a hard time believing these developers are going to drop a rank turd on us given their background on games...really I shouldn't have to say more than this: ENEMY TERRITORY.

I'm definitely pretty interested in this. I went ahead and did the pre-order option on Steam (free DLC, pre-loaded) and hope I'm not let down. I'm not big on MP online games, but this one should be unique because you can hop on and off as you see fit.

Yeah, I'll also be shocked if it sucks. My one concern is really from a technical standpoint. Lately I've noticed more and more games are shipping with issues playing on a TV, mainly related to vsync and 60hz. I really, really hope this isn't another one.

I think you can make "fire teams" with your friends, try clicking on their names on the scoreboard while playing if I remember.
 
Well I told myself last night if the D2D code still works tomorrow morning when I wake up I would buy it...downloading now on steam :) Hope its fun.

Does the game not really unlock until 9pm pst (according to steam)?

I'd be real stoked if Direct 2 Drive worked for me. Something about phone authorization even though I signed in with my paypal account and the phone authorization failed?

You think this looks like borderlands? Check out Rage. It's a lot more of a borderlands rip off in its theme, post apocalyptic wasteland with crazy people running around. The graphics looks much nicer though.

Rage a Borderlands rip-off? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't development on Rage started LONG before Borderlands?

In any case, I can understand the confusion. Borderlands was released first, so the assumption that Rage is a rip-off of Borderlands makes some sense.

Anway, back to the topic of this thread. When does this game unlock? I have it pre-ordered and still cannot play it.

Both Brink and Rage were in development before Borderlands.

So for the others that ordered BRINK off D2D, was there only one key for you? Like no extra key for the pre-order stuff? I added my key to Steam, but was expecting another key for the extra stuff.
 
no extra key, but there is a 'pre-order' bonus item in my D2D account. if i had to guess, i'd say the keys that were were issued to us for the game are unique to D2D's pre-order bonus items and we'll receive those things in game automatically. just a guess though.
 
What does the D2D pre order get you, a soda can silencer? Where does one get the Doom pre order pack?

Not only do you get a soda can silencer, you get an exclusive weapon. I think thats better than a reskin even though the revolver might suck.

I was being sarcastic actually :rolleyes: I've been looking forward to this game for awhile, just waiting for it to unlock...
 
I have been trying to buy this game on d2d's site but I am failing horribly, the one time phone authorization crapped out on me. i inputted two different numbers, i didn't get a chance to input a third it just said I tried to authorize too man times.
I tried paypal and when it returns to d2d site after selecting payment method, I get a server failed error.
This is my first d2d buy, seems like a lot of bullshit to go.
Opened a ticket, we shall see.
 
I'm probably picking this up, but will wait a bit to hear first impressions from you guys and reviewers.

Will likely be yet another feeble attempt on my part to recapture long lost Unreal Tournament glory of playing until my fingers were cramped into claws, I think I'm just too old to dig games like I used to back then.
