Borderlands 3

man I am not feeling this new DLC at all...its so...bland. I understand what they were going for but listening to that drab narrator and everything just seem so slow and boring.

Seriously the first,. non wave, DLC or even part of any of the BL games I just not wanting to play through.

It's not the best but it is pretty short but not sure if it is a plus or not o_O

Thought it was just me...

On DLC3, they should have gotten Tom Beaudette (?) to narrate, I kept hearing his voice instead of the narrator's. Or maybe the person who did The Dukes of Hazzard. And once I figured out all you had to do is just walk onto the jump points, I kept trying to get to them and trying to jump (space bar) on them and dying, the game got a lot easier. I guess they heard from un-coordinated slugs like me and made them as idiot proof as possible.

After being distracted by (or maybe even obsessed with) TLoU2, I'm finally getting around to this. Seems okay after about an hour, but I'm not exactly loving it. The narration stuff was a good idea, but on my Atmos setup, it's barely audible. Explosions and gunfire make the room shake and normal conversations sound fine. The narrator volume is about 1/2 what everything else is. Luckily it's subtitled.
I'm still rocking the OPQ and Yellowcake and both seems to still be extremely viable on M10. I'm sure once I gain the other 3 levels that might change, but I'm glad they didn't nerf them both into dust. I did notice that all of my Yellowcakes dropped about 10K in damage, though. The x2 versions might be worthwhile now, although they still burn through ammo way too quickly to be a main weapon.

...and as I feared, leveling up made things a total pain in the ass. Before I was doing great on M10. Now the same enemies kill me in 2 shots and take a quarter of my magazine to bring down.

Is there any point to having money now? I have all of the SDU's and my money was maxed out. Yet every time I get killed I drop around $9 million. Is there anything to spend it on or should I even care?

EDIT: I think that was one of those weird/random difficulty spikes that make you do less damage and enemies do more. I'm still sticking to the OPQ and Yellowcake and now seem to be doing much better. I remember the difficulty randomly spiking in the past with no rhyme or reason and I think that might have been the culprit again. Things seem normal again. It's challenging, but it's at least reasonable.

Done. Went back and got the hidden stuff, too. I got 80% of it on the first pass, but missed a few things.
Even though they added roughly the same amount of content as the prior DLC's, if didn't feel as long. I think it's mainly because it's faster-moving. Never left Mayhem 10 and really only struggled during those weird/random difficulty spikes. Had that happen twice.I could tell immediately because enemies would kill me in 2 shots. Those really deep/hard hitting shots are basically all anyone fires. Restart the level and everything is back to normal.

I never did find anything that could touch the Cartel gear. I found a couple level 70 weapons that were already good (like the Krakatoa), but nothing else of note. No new shields or grenades at all. I'm still rocking the same shield I've had for 9 months.

I can't tell if this DLC wasn't that great or if I'm just kinda done with Borderlands 3. It was creative, it was different, and it wasn't bad. I think the game might have just run its course for me.

I very much doubt that, Jacks casino is imo at least x2 as long and the levels were a lot bigger/more to explore, this last one felt more like an obligatory by the numbers we need to release something kind of deal. Also the "tech thingies" that force you to return for a 2nd time to be able to reach everything to me feel very out of place even though they did something similar in the base game with the eridian stuff.

I already cleared out the money in there, so I guess that's not happening. Luckily I didn't love many of the new weapons anyway. 1-2 were okay, but after the Cartel gear they were still a letdown. Gold drops seem to be pretty common in the new areas, so if some weapons get boosted it shouldn't be too tough to farm 'em out. What I'd really like is the option to get level 60 variants on the Yellowcake, OPQ, and Ghost Call.

I have yet to play the DLC in its entire I suspect DLC 4will be a gold mine like General Knoxx armory.

Whatever the next DLC is, they need to give players something to use their money and eridium for. The game is already balanced for the current ammo amounts, so the only SDU's they need to add are for your backpack and vault.
How about letting players spend money/eridium on legendary weapons? Kinda like they did a few months ago. Add some new vending machines with super expensive legendaries in 'em. They could even include exclusive weapons that only drop from unique foes you can't ever kill again. Ditto with seasonal gear that's no longer available.

I haven't touched the game since I completed the new DLC. I didn't hate it or anything, but it wasn't particularly memorable. The new gear in it was quite the letdown, too.
I think the Cartel stuff spoiled us because like 1/2 of those weapons were best in class. In a few cases (Yellowcake, OPQ, and situationally the Sandhawk), it wasn't even close.
Supposedly with the next big DLC drop they're including a new skill tree for each character. That can potentially infuse some life back into the game as long as the new skills are worthwhile. I know with Fl4k they've tried to make the other skills viable, but Fade + damage stacks is tough to beat. As long as they don't nerf it, I'm sticking with it.

Bath house or something looks cooler on the outside.
DLC 3

The vending machines have legendaries as well just logged in and found a Conference Call.

Here's the most recent patch and what else it affects. Some of the more trivial anointments are gone, you can buy legendaries at random machines (including Crazy Earl's), and the fabricator can make them using alt-fire now.
It's a little buried, but I noticed Fl4k's animal companion hits like a truck now. I did a quick run through the Casino VIP room (in M10) and he was killing enemies entirely by himself. Normally he's only there to revive me or as a distraction.
The description makes it sound like Crazy Earl's machine has a pile of previous legendaries, but he only had one for me. When I went back later, he had none. Ditto with the other machines. They only have 1-2 each, and sometimes none at all. I did buy a pretty amazing 22K damage legendary longbow grenade from one, though. Tough to argue with $100K legendaries when you have billions of $.

Nice- I have not played nearly as much, finished the Jackpot and am almost finished with Tentacles and Love. I need to remember to stop on the sanctuary after the wedding before I start anything else- I have a ton of guardian rank to spend and I keep remembering while in a story (where it's not available).

You can spend rank wherever you are, works for me.

I have my Guardian tokens spent in two trees not sure if this is the best thing for endgame.

My guardian rank is almost entirely in 2 tress as well. Most of my points are in "Hunter" (it's nearly maxed, even with the new addition that reloads your weapons in FFYL). I also have a fair number in "Enforcer," too. I've barely touched "Survivor." Fl4k is a glass cannon with a partner who can resurrect you, so I just never saw much point. I've only put points into the stat that extends your FFYL time...which I'm in frequently. I don't see a fraction of a % more health or shields helping all that much. At least not unless you put like 50 points into them. In general, Fl4k is all about doing tons of damage and constantly being saved by your pet.

I'm talking about Guardian rank, not the skill trees. It's disabled for me right now, probably because I'm in a DLC.

You should simply be able to turn it on.
Guardian Ranks have 3 trees. As you put more points into one particular area, you'll gain things like weapons skins. You also gain abilities and or additional damage, too, though.

Makes you wonder - why does the game turn Guardian Ranks off by default, anyway? I get niche reasons for it, but I've had to turn them back on at least twice. If you're playing with them off...does the XP you earn get counted for later?

I never looked into it, I just assumed they were on for the toon I unlocked them with, seeing I have been playing with 4 different toons going to stuff as I felt like and unlocked in the game.

I thought it was pretty good, other than meeting rose right off the bat... Don't want to say much but I thought 'out of character'.

I suppose someone can analyze that video on Youtube. Gearbox hinted at a 2nd season pass so maybe x8 dlcs in the works.

I don't need/want that much more content for B3. I love that developers are able to keep games fresh by adding things, but at a certain point I'd rather have them work on a sequel instead. Considering what season passes and DLC packs cost, it's not like we're saving much (if any) money.
