BioShock Infinite

The trailer is really haunting and really brings back the atmosphere of Rapture perfectly. It was spooky looking at those Little Sisters....

I thought the game play was OK, but the ending was great (played on hard). I still like the first one the best because of the darker atmosphere and the reward of beating a big brother and choosing to save or kill the girls.

the second and third DLC packs will form a two-part detective story set in Rapture

Called Burial at Sea, it will star Booker and Elizabeth as private investigator and femme fatale respectively, and you will get to play as both of them...Burial at Sea is set on New Year's Eve, 1958, the night of the bombing that was the beginning of the end for Rapture...in the first episode you play as Booker, and then in the second episode you play as Elizabeth...

Burial at Sea preview...sounds like a mixed bag but one well worth playing for the Rapture setting alone...

Seriously? I mean, quality over quantity sure, but less than 2 hours is REALLY short.

Sigh...I guess this is just another lesson for not ever buying a Season Pass again. I don't think I've gotten my money's worth from ANY Season Passes I've bought. Borderlands 2 is probably the only one with any real value, but I stopped playing before I played much of the DLC anyway, so I haven't even gotten my money's worth out of that.

normally they try to inflate play time numbers by exaggerating the total number but the fact that Levine himself states that's it's only 2-3 hours is sad...the nostalgia of going back to Rapture is nice but I think I'll wait for Episode 2 to be released and buy them together at a discount during a Steam sale

the first DLC takes you back to Rapture? that sounds awesome. man i need to catch up with what's going on with this game. also i need to finish it :D

Anyone go to rapture yet? I will be when I'm home in a few hours can't wait :)

Quality over quantity? Why not choose both? I'd rather have something interesting and substantial than some one off fan service cash in.

Wheeeee!! 2 hours!!!

But then with many games coming in at 4 to 6 hours for the SP campaign I guess you can't complain too much.

Well, I am quite enjoying going back to Rapture. I think, I am about 45 minutes in and just saw Sally.

I think I'll get the Season Pass at a discount just for Burial at Sea. *waits patiently for GMG to release an unrestricted 25% code*

I might wait until the second DLC so I can play them back-to-back. Sounds like the first DLC has a cliffhanger ending.

This. 2 hours really doesn't seem terribly out of line. If you got the Season Pass, that's $10, so $5 per hour (or $7.50/hr without) . Now look at the base game, about 10 hours for $60. That's $6 per hour, which actually makes the DLC a better value than the base game if you have the season pass. The truth is that this is pretty much in line with most single player DLC. And at least it offers up something new instead of a throw away single player mission that's nothing more than a quick cash grab.

Also, I know a whole buttload of people didn't pay $60. You may have got it with a graphics card, or bought a code cheap, or waited for a sale. If that's the case, then do the same and wait for this to go on sale also.

sad but true...most DLC content nowadays is super short...although I was thinking closer to 4 hours then 2

almost every major PC game nowadays is bundled as part of some Nvidia/AMD promo so no one should be paying more then half price for any game (buy the codes from [H] classified section)...in that respect the DLC has more value

Just finished the Lost at Sea DLC last night. Took 2hrs and I played through slowly so I could see and explore most things. The download was over 5GB so I expected much more.
I liked it but it was short. :(
No need for spoilers. If you watched the trailers of the gameplay, that is pretty much the whole story.

I was going to give Burial at Sea a try, so I fired up Steam, went to the page for it, says I have it already (due to season pass), click play and it shows up nowhere in the game menus. All I see under the menus is "Clash in the Clouds".

Spent about 30 mins digging around and finally gave up. So much for Steam making things easier....

Oh well, back to FFXIV....

Should be under your DLC menu...make sure it actually downloaded, I guess.

Thats what I figured.

Steam says its installed, but its nowhere to be found in game. I dont see any spot to force a reinstall of it either under Steam, though I suppose I could uninstall all of Bioshock Infinite and do a clean install of it to see if that fixes it....

Maybe this weekend.

Ending was good. Quite a cliffhanger. Episode was about 1.5 hours or less though. Very underwhelming in terms of gameplay. Would have been better if they let you keep the upgrades from the original infinite.

I've got it downloaded and am looking forward to trying to out this weekend. I'm going to have to put BF4 and COD:Ghosts on hold for the moment.

I am waiting until the Christmas sale on steam to get this and its DLC.

Unfortunately I'm stuck at the never-ending spinning door bug that irrational is working to solve. Sigh...I've already played for probably an hour, I can see myself (a week from now) installing the new patch, thrilled to play again, only to finish it in another 30 mins.

Finally got BaS working after a full clean install.

I'm kind of torn on how I feel about it though. Parts of it I love and parts just feel.... a bit off somehow.

Might try to finish it today if time permits.

Just in case there is anyone else with this issue, they sent out a 'beta' patch which resolved the problem for me. Here's the link for how to obtain the patch (it's direct through steam, you just have to 'opt in' to the beta functionality).

As an aside: holy shit my brain hurts now after that ending. I still haven't found an explanation/walkthrough of the ending that isn't narrated by someone who sounds like they jerk off to the sound of themselves talking, but I'm hoping to find something coherent.

You will understand the ending better if you remember that Elizabeth is wearing the same clothes as one of the Elizabeths who was there when you were killed in the original Infinite.

Dafuq.
