Battlefield 6

I know this isn't conclusive since I can't get past the main menu yet, but on my 9950x3d the game was executing across both CCD's and was not limited to the 3dvcache CCD

I have 955 hours in BF4, 327 in BF3, 500 in BF1. I'm ready to do this in BF6. Bugs and all. Hopefully it doesn't suck. haha

I just wonder if EA Dice is under contract with the Pentagon to make these games in the first place same with Activision and Cod.

780 hours in BF3 and 231 hours in BF4 for me. BF4 would be much higher but my game time dropped after family followed by my two year long hiatus from all gaming and is also why I missed out on BF1 too. But yeah, they're total "broken garbage" as some like to whinnnnnne about. lol

I regret not playing BF1 now, lol.

Will this really stop cheaters or will they continue to happily hack?
It worked for games by Riot (which also had similar backlash when the requirements for their anti-cheat tech was announced) - but now the stats (even if anecdotal) speak for themselves. Riot games feel like 1/20th less cheaters than CS.
Obviously it wont be 100% but it will greatly hinder the casual cheats from being easily run by any random joe schmo who just googled for a free cheat.

I have read Valve also has a kernel mode AC but only deploy it to specific players who get reported a lot (don't quote me on that)

I did a 2y hiatus on games...pc, xbox and cell...realized how much of my life was taken up by it. Now just warzone 😂😂

the pessimist in me wonders if this game is $70 better than delta force

Can I preload the open beta without having pre-ordered? If so, is it done through Steam or the EA app? Thanks for answering these dumb questions.

Yes you can, I did it through steam

and I did EA.. but think I will buy through steam cuz EA keeps screwing me with their account recovery.. we cant tell it is you.. i am like. uhh look at my name in my profile, look at my email address.. THEY ARE THE SAME... then sorry, we cannot validate you!

Already downloaded the beta, but how do I know if I can play on the 7th ?
Did you receive a key and redeemed it on your EA account or joined the Labs thing I read about.
they said you can get a key now just by watching a streamer playing BF6 for 30 minutes on twitch

Battlefield 2042 also uses EA's Javelin anti-cheat, I downloaded 2042 and tried to play but got a error message saying secure boot wasn't enabled. So I went into the bios and enabled it and I was able to play, I didn't have to enable VBS or HVCI also.

Yeah no pre-order from me as I got burnt with the $100 max edition last time. It will be trying the beta and EA play to try out to make sure it aint shit at launch again.

THEN, i might buy it.

tsk tsk, never pre-order...
It's basically simple, anyone who has time and money, likes games, etc., why not, I would too if I could.
This BF6 is essentially a reworked BF3, so it will be good for conquest as well as close quarters. At least everyone mostly spoke positively about BF3.

I started the beta, but all the servers are loaded, I'm standing in the queue, position 16000+

I don't think its started yet, should be tomorrow 07 August for those with early access.

I guess I got it before, but I'm waiting in the queue, all the servers are full.
I get to 260, throw an error and start over again, 30000+

From reading Steam discussions it looks like people are just waiting early in a in-game queue for tomorrow, very odd. Shouldn't expect the game to be playable till tomorrow if you have early access.

At least the attention is there but crossing fingers there is no server side issues tomorrow.

EDIT: After an update I started the beta and it shows the queue at over 37K but I can't get to settings like before, can only exit the game from there. Will see how it is tomorrow. Hopefully its not a cluster.

Why the fuck did they put it like that, I'm waiting in line for no reason at all.

Why are people in queue for a game that can't be played yet? It's not a Gamestop, lol.
I don't know, I expected to be able to play while there was a wait, why would anyone wait for nothing, then I guess I'll be able to try it from 09.08-10.08.

Looks like they're already pushing some updates. Steam downloaded a 6.8GB update when I logged in this AM

Gamers proving again how fucking retarded they are.

Pre-orders used to be so you would get your physical copy on release or limited physical edition with all the goodies like artbooks, physical models of characters etc. It also came with a "you broke the seal, you keep it" clause.

Pre-ordering on digital doesn't make that much sense, unless you get a decent discount or extra DLC. They never run out of standard edition copies and a lot of the premium versions don't contain any interesting content. They also rarely run out of the premium editions, unlike physical where you had to order months in advanced to get the version with the extra goodies. The advantage of digital pre-ordering on something like steam is that you can play almost 2 hours and still get a refund so it is pretty safe and much less of a risk than with physical copies.

Never had a problem with refunds on Steam. Their automatic system has always worked and I've refunded a game with 12 hours played due to a major change in the requirements for running the game that was patched in months after release. Their customer support was more than helpful and understanding.

Pre-ordering EA store is more of a hassle to get refunds due to their buggy systems and non-existent customer support. E.g. you have to refund within a certain amount of hours and they will count the hours when their customer support is closed into those hours. If their buggy auto system fails then they just try to stonewall you with people with no decision power and no interest in helping the customer.

Never tried refunding on GoG or Epic as it hasn't been needed so not sure how it would work there.

Because it incentivises companies like EA to release broken incomplete games. It's not that hard to understand, especially when EA has a proven record of doing just that.
That's what we have today, games being released in a broken, buggy state, maybe playable maybe not. If you're lucky it's somewhat fixable with a big patch in the first week or two, or up to a year as with 2042.

That's so they can meet their 100 million players 😂
