There is.

1. go here: C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Battlefield 3\settings
2. Open PROF_SAVE_profile with notepad++ (can download for free)
3. Change the following variables:

GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.050000 ;1st one is the normal mouse sens. USE whatever you like, or keep it the way it is.

These three however I edited and it solved many problems for me.

GstInput.Scheme0Sensitivity 0.000000
GstInput.Scheme1Sensitivity 0.000000
GstInput.Scheme2Sensitivity 0.000000

Always make a Back up or remember the original values folks!

ATI Crossfire people: a guy on the Guru3D forum said that uninstalling CAP3 removes a lot of the stutter; haven't tried it myself yet

Lol you know, im in the same boat. It plays great on my tiny 27" A750 with one 6970, but I am used to my triple u2410 jumbo tron. Everyone looks like ants to me! Debating of hookin up a 1080p projector so I can see stuff lol
 
37" 1080p for me. Big enough so I can see everything, low res enough so my shitty hardware can handle it. :D
 
Speaking of mouse sensitivity why are there two sliders with almost the same name, whats the difference?

Need to hook my PC up to my home theater setup, but I need to figure out how to use a KB/Mouse on a reclining chair with armrests that aren't actually flat enough for a mouse :(

lol!!! Same shit happened to me on eyefinity. I restarted the mission a few times, restarted the PC, thinking it was just messed up. Then someone steam msged me, I alt-tab out and I saw it said press [R]. Only shows up when its small.
 
GTX 590 gives rock solid 60 fps in caspian maxed everything at 1080p. VRAM usage is 1458 MB. Drivers might be scaling back image quality, not sure.
 
fucking 2xx hardware and driver bug

280.26 driver, SMOOTH AS FUCK... but the game crashes occasionally
anything past, so stuttery that it's borderline unplayable... and no crashes

fucking nvidia.
 
the QTEs making you use random other keyboard controls is sort of annoying....

weird jerky mouse movement for me also. Is that the stutter you other 2xx nvidia people are talking about

Well only played one map, but after removing the application profiles, It is smoother.. now the servers just need some work with the rubber banding..
 
Dice are being douchebags and resetting the stats at 6pm apparently.

And yeah, the way to get in is via VPN, which takes all of 20 seconds.
 
I stopped playing MP because there are rampant rumors all over the net now about DICE resetting the MP stats at 6pm. Back to SP. BTW I unlocked the game at like 7am today PST. It was fun watching people get into the system all day. When I went to battlelog this morning I saw like 7 people playing the game on every available server. An hour later, 200.. then 2,000.. etc..

Sucks about the possible stat reset :( But fun experience today being in the system when there was like NOBODY. :)

They're being "douchebags" because other douchebags are using VPN hacks to play the game early? Yeah, okay... :rolleyes:

Be grateful your account isn't fucking banned, I'd say.
 
Some of the MP maps are fun, but some (like that one where the entire map is a huge tunnel) are beyond retarded.

I am pretty sure the High settings in the beta were Medium now. The game looks a lot different than the beta and when i switched to Medium settings it looks a lot more like the beta did,
 
Anyone else having constant problems with Origin closing unexpectedly? No error message, it just shuts down and disappears from the task bar.
 
I can't do anything in the campaign. The first gun you pick up off the ground in the subway doesn't shoot.

really, I'm getting a lot of jitter. I'll try that.

Some of the maps look like Ultra is disabled, while others like Crossing and Caspian are amazing.
Visuals on night and rain maps looks like the high setting, need fix.
 
Can any of you actually shoot the gun in the first 5 seconds of the campaign? Mine acts like it's empty and won't shoot.
 
Argh, having last minute thoughts about buying this game.

Limited Edition for $44 worth it? HELP ME DECIDE
 
based on the effort they have put into the PC version, you should support them and yes the LE is worth $44.
 
Um no dont buy it, Cancel your pre-order and get MW3.. (this is after all a BF3 thread, what do you want us to say?)

Has the game actually been unlocked? Been at work all day just looked in here just now. If everybody's using hacks maybe that's what's causing the various issues.

For someone that's been around here for 7 years, I would hope by now you understand what a VPN is, and realize that it is neither a hack, nor a cheat.
