preload has happily eaten all of my download bandwidth, just plodding along at about 5.5mb/s.

considering canceling tbh.

Yep, did thorough research before cancelling lol. Also the physical copy through origin isn't release day guarantee, it ships on release day. They hope for people to get the copy a day or two later

yeah, that was checked since I first installed origin before the beta and i made sure to specify a folder for my game installers, yet nothing is in the specified folder

Origin isn't bad at all, more lightweight than steam even.

I haven't started pre-loading yet, so can someone explain this to an Origin noob?

I thought after you DL the game it installs? Or do I need to keep the installer and game backup until the 25th and then install it? I hope it won't make me put it in C: I have a SSD.

It installs but will only run on the 25th
 
Will the servers be active on monday midnight? Debating whether it's worth picking up my pre-order at the BB Midnight Launch, never been to one before.

Oh, and pre-order cancelled.

It will install wherever you have Origin Installed, I made sure of that before i downloaded BF3... and the beta for that matter.
 
So I just found out that the Commo Rose is making a return to the PC version of BF3 in a day 1 patch...

Damn, you guys had me literally laughing out loud over these last few pages. I'm tempted to order it just so I can cancel it now! :p

Anyway, just an FYI, in a move of great benevolence, I dropped any "thread-bans" that were in place, so everyone can post in here again. Please be nice to each other so I don't have to live up to my title. ;)

Funny enough I'm off Mon/Tue/Wednesday :) since I'm a weekend shift guy.

Random question -- I'm no Battlefield noob, I've logged a ton of time in BC2, but WTF is "comma rose" i seriously have wondered forever, googling yeilds no quick and definitive results.
 
command rose, its just a pop-up with different things to have your charter say "need ammo, enemy boat spotted..etc"

obligatory "preorder canceled" joke like its still funny.
 
I started playing BF2142 in the meanwhile, off that Origin sale.

Com Rose is actually kind of a pain in the ass now lol. Every time I try to spot someone while scoped in, it unzooms me after selecting Spot. Sunuva.... I don't remember it being a pain in the ass back in the BF2 days.....
 
downloading bf3 through origin 2x as fast as I normally download games through steam

really pissed off about it... not going to cancel preorder over it.. but WTF is wrong with Origin

Preloaded yesterday. Looked out my window this morning and it was still dark out, so I had to cancel my preorder.
 
3 more days!? Pre-order fucking cancelled!

(had to get in on it). I'm trying to find ways to incorporate it into everyday conversation without getting a funny look. It hasn't happened so far lol
 
The pre-order canceled bit isn't really funny anymore.

Canceling my pre-order because of it.

We must push on! Another page or so and we'll get through the 'not-funny' territory and into a whole new level of 'hilarious!'

Cancel them pre-orders!
