It's not impossible at all, I think the problem is on your end. I'm getting around 30-40fps with my system at 1920x1200 at high settings. There are occasional dips but they're fairly rare and not all too severe.
 
Can you try ultra for me? and 2XAA, i know its not a good comparasion but at least we can try to get general idea, thanks in advance :)

I never play with AA at these resses.

Someone asked about Vsync. I never use that either.

I like it when snipers decide to crawl up on the one giant structure that is clearly visible from all parts of the map and then start drawing attention to themselves by flinging lead at people.

TT can you do it the same with AA post to medium and Ambient oclusion in order to get comparasion? also use 1920x1200, thanks alot and sorry for bothering you.

Voice acting is again (from BC2) extremely amateur and childish in nature, seemingly tailored to the younger crowd who still think it's downright hilarious as long as you throw in as many expletives as possible (ie. South Park).

Is it just me or does it seem WAY harder to spot people when compared to BFBC2. I really have to sit still on a map and stare off into the distance to catch site of people moving. It's nearly impossible to see people in the helicopter unless they have been tagged.
And another thing about Jets and Helicopters, it seems impossible to even stand a chance when you don't have flares or homing rockets. Dude on the server I was on earlier had like every unlock possible for jet and was just owning anyone who tried to get into a jet and do anything since he had flares and homing rockets.
 
Got my 1st "glitches" today after playing on and off all week.

Had the "great ready" message on the screen the whole round until I died.

Then suddenly I couldn't use my right mouse button to zoom in with scope.

Then the screen started flashing sometimes green and sometimes orange for no reason.

Was disconnected from the server once too for no reason...

Some of it's asinine, not the swearing as such, but stuff like this: "Who's the daddy? We're the daddy. Who's the bitches? They're the bitches" :rolleyes: and things to that effect. Absolutely improper military radio protocol. Sounds like a frat house rather than a professional army.

But your post reminds of a quote from Apocalypse Now, where Col. Kurtz is recording monologues about how "our commanders are instructing us to drop fire on villages, but they won't let us write fuck on our airplanes because it's obscene!"

Thanks for reminding me of that, I feel watching it now! :D

I've had the last three. For scope issue, switch to pistol bring up sights, lower sights, bring up primary and you should be able to zoom in again.

By any chance did you trigger a reload while your sights were up? That seems to trigger it to me.
 
Is it me or do they have their work cut out for them on this netcode?? Was playing some Caspian over the weekend and had a lot of glitches on several servers. Anyone else notice?? Also I can say my GTX 580 SLI on my 30 inch loves this game..

The voice acting is very amateur. It's like they took some random guys off the street and had them read the lines. I really hope in the final release there is an option to turn off those inane amateur repetitive voice lines as they are super annoying.

They are not supposed to flood the radio with superfluous nonsense. Do you think they really want to hear people playing beer pong over the airwaves in the middle of high risk combat situation? No they don't talk like that. Maybe in general but not through a comm system.

pretty damn accurate really, infact one of the guys in this video sounds JUST like a guy in BF3, there are many more vids like this of guys joking nonchalantly and saying 'YEAH DUDE YOU GOT HIM' etc all over the internet, look for yourself.

Yeah I have seen that a million times, and you've made a good point but do they once say things like "who's your daddy?!" and obnoxious shit like that? Anyway that's not the greatest example, they have obviously gone beyond the pale and are not an exhibition of proper military conduct, those people doing that are less soldier and more scumbag.

Again I must reiterate that it's not the swearing that gets me I don't give a fuck about that (see) It's just some of the stuff that is said sounds like it comes from someone who peaked in high school. Real men don't speak like that. The most annoying banter comes from the US side funnily enough, no offense to anyone just an observation.

Both of those pilots are treating it like a video game. I wouldn't say that represents the chatter between all pilots , most soldiers are all about the mission and keep focused pretty well as they've been trained to do. Also those pilots got in deep shit once Wikileaks posted that video as it was covered up by the military .. at first , kind of a fucked up video to post as an example.

Being a military pilot, in real life if I heard 1/10th of the nonsense that goes on with mind-numbing radio chatter like in BF3 I would lose it.

Also, I love how civilians think war is so clear cut. They don't call it the "fog of war" for nothing. In war, there has always been fratricide and there always will be.
 
I like the radio chatter with "AO" and the dialog "just blew a big fucking hole in the ground" - "Ohhhkay,,,,"
 
Well the 15 day wait begins. I sure hope the final version is what they are claiming it'll be. Today when I played people were exploiting the shit out of it.

Guess we'll see soon.
