Damn, I didn't expect specs that high. As much as I love all the Batman games they're not exactly graphics benchmarks.

And holy shit! 55 GB!?!?!

come on that a game needs 50-60gb is so lame now,. do u all sit on 120gb SSD only ? its not funny anymore..

I have a 500GB, it fills up fast with these big games.

Ditto. Install Adobe Creative Suite and a few "modern" games and they fill up in no time. With GTA and both the Witcher 3 & Batman coming I'm probably going to have to clear out a half dozen older games to make room.

you don't need to install every game on your SSD...pick and choose the ones that will benefit from the increased speed...large, open world types like Witcher 3...Arkham Knight will go on my WD Caviar Black 640GB

Arkham City was a gorgeous looking game

250 here. Not buying a new one till sata 3.1 days. I just backup the games onto a 3TB drive with steam backup feature ( or w/e client ). Then leave 4 or 5 games installed. Why anyone needs more then that many installed I will never understand.

It depends on how people play games. Some people don't get set on a few specific ones and just want to have lots ready to go on hand.

Personally I only play a small amount actively at a time and just move those to the SSD.

I only have an SSD in my system. I have a 1TB external drive but it's plugged in through USB2 and it is just used for backing up stuff.

I wonder how my 6990 setup will do. Also I move all my old games to an external. then move them back when I feel like playing.

I tend to jump between games at random when the mood strikes me. I like having a bit of variety installed at any given time so if I feel like playing something different I don't need to wait around for games to download. At the moment I've got WoW (I'm not entirely sure why I decided to play this again), GTAV, Borderlands 2, Cities: Skylines, Alien: Isolation, Dragonball Xenoverse, Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, Lords of the Fallen, Red Faction Guerrilla, and Far Cry 4 all installed.

I use a WD Caviar Black as my main drive but I have a 256GB SSD with Windows 7 installed sitting in an empty drive bay...switching is easy, just unplug the SATA and power cable from one to the other...but I'm very selective as to what I put on the SSD

I've been thinking about picking up a bigger external (3TB or so for backing up all of my games) and if I do I'll open up the case for the external and toss it into my system.

We live in strange times, right? :D

1TB SSD's are finally starting to come down in price. I think my plan is to get one of those in the next year.

Maybe try beating your games.. :p

I still play a fair number of games I've already beaten. They're just getting big, rapidly. I always assumed that SSD prices would come down before games got as big as they have gotten...but they're just a bit behind. Still there are deals like this: http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-9-5mm-adapter-Internal-CT1024M550SSD1/dp/B00IRRDHW6
$359 for 1TB is a steal, and while not the quickest, Crucials are pretty good.
Anyway, I'm curious how this game will perform. The first two were smooth as glass, but with random hiccups for PhysX effects. I wonder if they've ever gotten that under control.

This is a huge problem I have with current SSD reviews, they are extremely misleading to most readers in terms of how the results actually translate into their work loads leading towards massive over weighting of the importance of "higher performance" SSDs.

I'm of the opinion that *any* SSD is good enough for like 99.9% of the population. With the Crucial comment, I just meant $ for $ there are apparently better ones...at least in some random benchmarks. I doubt it'll ever matter in real life. Plus, at that $359 price I think that's the best SSD deal I've seen to date. If I hadn't just bought some new parts for my PC, I'd buy one of those right now.

Actually I bet alot of people would say Crucials are the best bang for the buck in the SSD department.

Why ROFL? Could be worth 40$.. If its alot of content. Time will tell.
It's ROFL cause they have the balls to ask for $40 for a season pass. They won't be giving you a new full Arkham game, and $40 is just about the price of a full game. It's $10 less than the first full Arkham game MSRP so unless they are giving another near full Arkham game it's not worth it already.

It's also ROFL because they are promising 6 months of additional content with no specifics as to what that content will entail. With a game like Forza they say you'll be getting this many car packs that have this many cars in each pack, while Call of Duty says something similar (this many map packs with this many maps per pack). At least you can still buy a season pass after all content has been released still with a discount, so you can make the decision whether or not it's worth your money at that point.

In all of my years I think the only DLC's that have lived up to expectations have been for GTA4, Dark Souls 2, and Mario Kart 8. The odds of a 4th sequel Batman game being up there with those is slim.

I'm not going to buy the Season Pass but I trust Rocksteady to get the DLC right...the Harley Quinn Revenge DLC from Arkham City was really good...I want more story based DLC and less Challenge Maps and skins...if they announced 3-4 story based DLC I would be more tempted to buy the Season Pass but it'll probably be 1 story one and a bunch of challenge maps/skins

4th sequel? Counting the unofficial prequel (according to Rocksteady) there are four games total. Knight is the second sequel developed by Rocksteady. I think Rocksteady has earned some bit of trust, but $40 is way too fucking much for a season pass. I'll wait for the inevitable game of the year edition to get the DLC at this point unless the story content is amazing and it isn't all challenge map bs.

Borderlands.
Tiny Tina's is amazing.

there's been quite a few good DLC over the years- some of the Fallout 3 and New Vegas ones, Harley Quinn Arkham Knight, Dark Souls 1 and 2, Skyrim Dragonborn etc

Super disappointing to hear that Nightwing/Robin/Catwoman are just "gimmicky" tag-ins during combat and not actually fully featured playable characters.

OF all the BAtman Arkham games I always wondered why (aside from Catwoman in 2) they never featured Robin/Nightwing outside of the stupid "challenge" mode and actually made them part of the full game.

People keep harping on about this being the de facto "Batman" game and nothing able to top it...yeah , there's still plenty of room for improvement in regards to those characters.

I want a Batman game that has Robin/Nightwing as part of the main game, that lets you play as them , or even co-op play with a friend.

There have been a few good DLC but I haven't felt even one of them was worth $40. The only other one at $40 was a full expansion pack, Dragon Age Origins Awakenings and that wasn't really worth it at the price and it offered around 25 hours of gameplay regarding the aftermath of what happened in the main game. I can't see how Arkham will be able to offer at least that much more campaign missions to justify that price tag.

I like both Dick Grayson and Tim Drake (Damien Wayne as well but that's a different discussion ) but I wouldn't want a big section of gameplay with just them. I found the Catwoman stuff in AC to be the weakest parts of the game, Selena wasn't as fun or interesting to play as. Nightwing or Robin 3 could be fun in a game designed around them or in separate DLC but I'd rather play as Batman the entire time in the main game.
