Good idea to mix a MSI 980 Ti Gaming with EVGA ACX 2.0+?
I am so tempted right now and I don't even play games on my PC anymore...

Um, and why couldn't you use 144hz? I have a BenQ XL2730Z with 290x crossfire and 144hz works fine.Just got my 980 Ti installed. I've been using AMD R9 290X crossfire with my ROG Swift for the last year so I've never been able to use 144Hz or GSYNC.
Holy shit.
No idea. Tried 3 different DP cables, all <6 ft as per ASUS recommendation, including the included cable as well as a Monoprice and an Accell. None worked at 144hz.Um, and why couldn't you use 144hz? I have a BenQ XL2730Z with 290x crossfire and 144hz works fine.
Just bought a 980ti today after seeing the early benchmarks from shadow of mordor. Coming from dual 6950 it should be one hell of an upgrade. Decided against the fury because of no dual link dvi and wasnt trying to mess with adapters. This way I can put the card in and plug my monitor right into it. Havent had an nvidia card since the 8800gts 320mb so im rather excited.
This is my first Nvidia card since Ti4200. Enjoy!
4K still isn't ready for prime time honestly, the lack of real hardware and connection options along with buggy drivers makes this at least 2 years away from being mainstream.
Now thats a name I have not heard in a long time...... a long time.

I just upgraded from 1200p to 1440p so i'm happy enough for awhile.
Yeah I think i'll pass on that Asus. $749 USD is awful when MSI is asking for only $20 premium.
Zotacs triple cooling 980ti just went up

Anyone know if Bestbuy will carry the custom boards? I have 250 in gift cards but don't really want the EVGA.
LOL!!! Oh wait, your serous?
Sell the gift cards...
What so funny? 250 ain't no joke.
I can save the gift cards. I'm holding out for a place with no tax though. Newegg is 60 bucks tax for Californians.
WA is even higher, don't cry about sales tax
Higher than 9.25-10%?
That's fine, but a lot of us don't consider 30-50fps playable.I totally disagree with you. I am playing 4K completly fine with a 5930K @ 4.4 GHz and 2x MSI GTX 980 Gamings. DAI and other games @ max detail and I run around 50 fps with occasional dips to 30 fps so it is very playable, and it is going to be even better when I get dual Fury Xs or 980 Ti's in the next few weeks.
With the rite hardware 4K is definatly great rite now, otherwise I don't think they would bother making so many new 4K hardware and monitors.

I'm not willing to turn down settings, and I'd rather have 60+ fps. 1440p is the current sweet spot. I'll let other people be early adopters for 4K.
Another idiotic reviewer who cant state what the actual in game boost was after overclocking the card.Hexus posted a nice review of it. Supposedly they got a nice overclock out of it. Only thing is the fans don't turn off at low load and apparently it's not very quiet, so with 2 of them in my case it will probably be pretty loud. That price tho- and they're a decent company.

DSR solves the 'looking better' part.
My slightly turned down settings on a 40" 4K monitor looks miles better than your maxed settings on a 27" 1440p monitor.
I rather be the early adopter. Not to mention my productivity is on steroids.
