The TTP fits, all you have to do is cut a few fins down less than an inch each. Literally took me 5 minutes. Works great on my 5850.

Thats not a yes/no answer. Thats a dont know. Thus the term "non reference". It may be the same, it may not, and you have no way of knowing, unless you can find someone who has one, measured it, took one apart, etc.

For XFX purposes, the non reference ones have the fans in the middle of the card, the reference ones have the fans near the back end of the card, and look like every other 5850 out there. non reference...

if you buy the XFX make sure you buy the reference board only. Lots of problems with the non reference boards from XFX in the 5850 line. Lots of complaints about one less VRM, and cards having issues.

you wont use the ram sinks on a 5850. You will reinstall the stock plate, its much more effective than the ram sinks. If its a 5870, you have to use the sinks because stock plated is welded to the shroud. I personally would use the thermalright v3/v4/v5 on the vrms if using the 5870, but then...

Did you plug in the 3 pin or the 4 pin? The 3 pin will work, and you can adjust it, but it will not do it automatcally. You need to plug in the 4 pin, and in the right direction for the automatic change to work. But in the end, does it really matter? 1. Use afterburners, fan profile. 2. Set it...

yeah i use furmark for the benching, and afterburner for the OC. Never really used furmark for stability, GPU tool seems to give me artifacts long before furmark fails on me.

When you guys OC, use GPU tool test for stability option.... how long do you let it run without errors, where you considered it "passed"? Or should I say stable? Thanks!

When you OC the VC, your increasing your demand. Could be over 760/1110, your PSU cant supply a steady power. could be failing as well. When you OC a CPU and a GPU, its really increasing your needs. I would turn off the OC on the CPU, and see if that changes anything.
