Hey -
I Just purchased an oem opteron 165 and I was wondering if anyone had a stock AMD heatsink w/ heatpipe they would be willing to sell. I would like to spend as little as possible so try to keep it cheap.
You can email me @ jrr5 [at] njit [dot] edu
I did a quick search but I couln't...
Well,... to be certain try this in the shell as root:
$service iptables stop
and then do
$service smb restart
if it smb works after that, you need to just add a rule to allow the ports through iptables...

edit: grammar
By firewall, do you mean seLinux or iptables?
cause seLinux is not a firewall... you need to open up the port on iptables..
(if you did disable iptables; disregard this message)

Got any links for those parts? I just ordered those cans and I may want to recable them...
I looked on parts express but I wasn't sure which size techflex or heat shrink to get.(1/8"?)
Also, what type of wire did you use? (plain speaker wire? 1/16"?)
Thanks
- Jay

I just bought this card a week ago and I paid $159... now its $135!
This is not the fastest card at stock speeds but mine unlocked fully and overclocked nicely (due to the huge copper hs) so its sitting ~6800 ultra speeds ...
I've just started (yesterday) fooling around with XSLT for transforming an xml document and I am having some trouble getting the tokenize function to work.
I put my input.xml ; transform.xsl ; and output.xml on my site

If anyone has any experience with XSLT...
I was in my local target this evening and I stumbled across a 120GB WD hdd at target for 100 beans. they also had a 160GB for $120.
Deal was not online at their site so I guess its B&M only which means YMMV.
newegg has the same one for 145 shipped...
as the title states.
i'm looking for something cheap ....... very cheap. dont care what speed.(its for a small file server that crapped out on me)
lemme know what you got
jrr5 [at] njit [dot] edu
thats the one.
You can actually got to any bb, cc or compusa and pick it up for less money.
(29.99 vs 26.00 + 4.99)
it does the job well.
edit: One thing worth mentioning about the live 24 bit is that the drivers are no where to be seen on creatives site so make sure you save your drivers cd.
sblive or sblive 24 bit.
I use both in my sc420's.
the live is just for a workstation. the 24 bit is used in my htpc.
either card is cheap and stable.
good luck
jay
how about for the live 24 bit........
Find me the drivers for the live 24 bit on their site.
I bet you cant cause they arent there
this annoys me cause this card is not old by any means..
after seeing this post I decided to take both the felt off the front and back of the driver and seal up the ear cups with hot glue just for shites and giggles.
there is some improvement but still not as good as my sen 212's
anyone else try it?
Ok,
here's my setup.
dell sc420
x300
sb like 24 bit
pvr 150
mce remote
MCE 2k4 (haven't renewed msdn yet to get 2k5)
here's my question:
After viewing live TV, I want to know if there is any way to close the live TV without closing the front end. The reason why I want this is because...
I just got a price match for the tivo I bought last week from best buy, ymmv tho.
If compusa wont honor it, bring the ad to CC or BB for a pricematch.
good luck.

Actually, it will not fit everything. That case only takes short pci cards.
I almost ordered that before I noticed that.
I just built my htpc will a dell sc420, x300, pvr150, and sblive 24bit.
i love it.
yep, never used, never opened. new in box. I got it about a month ago.
heres a link
