Well shouldn't his 770 still be able to output 4K at 30hz? That isn't even an option, won't go higher than 1080p 60hz.

Tried both HDMI ports, his GTX 770 wouldn't output above 1080p for either port and claimed that 1080p was "recommended" and the native resolution of the display. We will keep playing with it, and definitely try HDMI-PC = ON as the mouse lag was terrible.

Go to the store again, the 5K panel is incredible.

go to an apple store to see 27" 5K in person. Text looks incredible. OS X definitely has scaling down, looks great. Windows scaling will catch up eventually. The DPI on your phone is significantly higher than your current monitor, and text looks great. Only a matter of scaling..

I don't understand why people think 27 is too small for 4K.. it's all about the DPI. Just look at the DPI of the phone in your pocket, it's much higher than 4k at 27 inches.
