The fan controller on my Corsair 650D went out last year and they sent a replacement which showed signs of failing over the last week or so and officially died today. Rather than install a 3rd controller from them, I figured I'd just use this opportunity to upgrade the three fans that came with...
Looking to upgrade the two stock 200mm fans that come with this case as well as the stock rear 120mm fan and get a controller for them as well, do you guys have any recommendations? My stock controller went out last year and my replacement seems to be on its way out as well, so I figured I'd...
Right now I'm using the Standard profile with brightness turned down to 45. I don't have any calibration equipment, so I'm basically just eyeballing it for the time being. One day I might do a Custom Color profile and really try to dial it in, but for now it looks pretty good.
I PM'd him about it and he doesn't necessarily recommend using his settings for the A03. If you want to try anyway, his custom color preset was R: 96, G: 93, B: 87, Brightness: 45, Contrast: 75.
I tried them on my A03 and decided against using them, but see what you think.
Having a bit of trouble with calibrating. My games, like Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2, look washed out, almost as if there's a light gray film over the screen. I have an A03 and my starting calibration numbers were the 10e settings for an earlier revision.
I just got mine all set-up and I don't have any issues, guess I got a good one. I'm going to have to play around with the calibration, though, 10e's numbers don't seem to work that well on mine (which is what he said when I talked to him). I have an A03 if anyone has some calibration numbers to...
What is a good starting point for calibrating these? I spoke with 10e recently, and he doesn't necessarily recommend his original numbers since the calibration was done on an older batch of panels. Is anyone still using his numbers on a brand new monitor and getting good results? if not, is...
Is this probably the best 24" LCD to get if I want to upgrade from my 19" monitor for Christmas? Are they shipping the latest revision if I order directly from Dell or is that something I need to request?
I want to upgrade from my 19" Samsung 940B to a 24" for Christmas, but I'm not quite sure which monitor I want to go with, so I was hoping for some suggestions. I was looking at the Dell U2412M, but if there's something "better" in that price range, I'd be interested.
Budget is probably...
Do you guys think this will still be the best bang for your buck 24" monitor around Christmas time? Looking to upgrade from a 19", most of my computer use is just browsing the web, playing a few games (Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, maybe a FPS once in a while), wondering if this is still the monitor...
I found one that I'm using now and I'm playing on normal and I'm only about level 14 or 15 I think.
I'm hoping someone makes some nice character guides to read or watch. I still kind of feel like I don't know what I'm doing with my monk, but I've only put a few hours in so far.
I dropped the max down to 75 and get a solid frame rate and didn't notice any difference in gameplay from when it was set to 150 by default. I'll keep an eye on it when I play more later, but it doesn't seem like it needs to be set as high as it is by default. My monitor refresh rate is actually...
Yeah, I just don't know where to set it. I don't think I need vsync on, I wasn't noticing any issues in that regard, but I don't want my gpu working harder than it needs to for no reason. Some people on the Diablo forum are saying to leave the min FPS slider alone and to drop the max FPS slider...
Question about graphics settings. I have V-Sync off and I left the max FPS slider at 150 (default) and minimum at 8 (default). I went in game and checked the fps and was getting around 143 just running around, but since my monitor only refreshes at 60hz, should I drop the max down from 150 to 60...
With the system specs in my sig, do you guys think I'd be better off:
A) unchecking the max and min fps sliders, leaving vsync disabled, and just let the graphics card do its thing? (some people have said this is too much stress on the gpu)
B) should I leave the sliders checked, leave vsync...
Looking for a new headset with a microphone, but I don't want to spend more than about $50 if I can help it. I'm mainly going to use them when I play Diablo 3 with my friends so we can talk to each other. What do you guys recommend with my budget? Thanks!
Are the default graphics and audio settings based on my system? I'm not really sure what to adjust or if I need to adjust anything. My system specs are in my sig.
Spoke with Corsair customer support today and they said they'd replace my fan controller, I just had to file the RMA form. They have great customer service!
Like Daggah said, probably not. I have the two stock 200mm fans and the stock rear 120mm fan and the stock fan controller is failing. I've had the case since mid December of last year and have had them running on low the whole time. That means it lasted all of 3 months running on low. The fans...
Mine seems to be on its way out, I PM'd you today.
I have the two stock 200mm fans and the stock 120mm rear fan plugged into it. Last night I noticed that all 3 fans were off. I used my finger to spin the two 200mm fans and they started up again and have been running since (~10 hours now)...
Anyone have a comparison for this monitor vs the Samsung XL2370? just curious since their price is about the same.
edit: nevermind I just saw that the XL2370 is a pretty old monitor.
You can take that stand out that the hard drive bay used to be on, you can get to the screws from underneath the case. Not sure if you knew or not, I centered the cage as well then pulled that stand out.
If I buy the mesh insert for the front of my 650D, will I have to cut it to fit, or does it fit perfectly if I'm only running one optical drive in the top slot?
On the Frederik, have any of you guys removed that two panels that connect the two legs? I find that it makes getting to my plugs, the back of my computer, etc. a major pain. If they aren't really necessary for support or anything, I might take them out.
I have some extra money and was thinking about picking one of these up, but I'm starting to see a few negative reviews pop up. Is this the best 24" option out there right now for general use and gaming? I don't want to get a monitor that I end up having to RMA until I get lucky enough to get...
My 650D build:
Front
Rear
Window
Guts
Rear Cable Management
Fan was slightly modded to make 16gb fit
Used the preexisting holes on top to mount the Frio's fan speed controls
My friend Gene gets all the credit for the entire build.
