i have two 216sp 260s in sli right now and performance is acceptable however i cannot get the AA i want in games like BFBC2 or lotro online during pvp. the limiting factor seems to be Vram. so would i notice a worth while performace boost to warrent the 280 bucks? or should i just continue to...
my current rig is in my sig , however i have recently purchased a used 260 and a used 780i board on the cheap and have a 8800gt laying around......
think i have enough juice to not only SLI the 260s but also overclock my e8400 and run a 8800gt for a dedicated physx card?
i know i have...
my rig is in my sig below, i dont want to spend more than say $255 to upgrade it just to tide me over till sandybridge or cheaper i7 cpus, so would buying a refurbed XFX 780i for 60 bucks on ebay and a used 260 for SLI be a cost effective upgrade? i would plan to use the 260's in sli for...
okay i havnt found a monitor larger than 22 inch that will is smaller than 21.5 inches across except one. it has a funny resolution but its samsung so im considering it. what do all u Hard have to say about this monitor ?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001317
mind you i would like to have these settings in PVE and PVP raids where anywhere from 12-80+ characters may gave to be rendered i was thinking 4870/48901gb as i have heard on the lotro forums that a 260 is not quite enough for what i want
tried this little program that loads textures and meshes onto a performance usb flash drive thus speeding up lotro access to these files and slightly speeding up the game. kinda like readyboost but designed for lotro specifically and i must say that i use fraps to compare and i saw a 10-12 fps...
with fan set at 100% i get temps around 75-78c underload this i would like to see lower and maybe gain a few more mhz out of my OC are there any good aftermarket coolers that significantly outpreform the stock on this card? i looked at duorb and the
zalman vf1000 but read a few conflicting...
well i will be having a great time playin this game. got 4 level 50s on the brandywine server.
anyway how many fellow [H] play this game and plan to buy the xpack
getting my new rig monday and after i load up windows and update all the drivers i want it to stress test overnight before i mess with it at all, what is the best program that will stress test the whole system for weakness? prime95 ?
i dont plan on raisin the voltage much at all, if any. will the intel stock cooler with some as5 and good case vent be enough for me or are these things so crappy that an aftermarket cooler is a must buy?
just ordered a e8400 with 4gb corsair memory and a 8800gt
my motherboard is GA-p35 dsrL ordered it from Mwave so its going to come pre assembled in an antec fulltower with a 650Wpsu and ill be running vista 64 bit

my pc is in need of well a whole new pc, i can wait a few months longer for the next great cpu to be released and pair it with a 8800 or should i just buy a duel core now and be happy
basically my system is in my specs except it can only handle half the overclock it used too the card is also down a few mhz
i really only need this rig to play lord of the rings, i was fine with my 19 inch monitor but when it died i got a 22 inch lcd and now my rig is crying for mercy

i have some good PC4000 ram and water cooling, so what CPU should i chose?
i am considering 3
1. 3.0E could hit 245-255fsb? 255 would be optimal
2. 3.2E ive heard these buggers OC like hell could hit 3.8-3.9 240ish FSB
3. 3.4E with my Mobo i can chose 14 0r 17 mullti and could easlily...
first of all all the tests were done with the 75.90a drivers max oc with stock cooler and bios with some AS5 for good mesure were 408/1120 temps were 58C idle and 83C load.
after i flashed to the modded 1.4v bios and added a NV5 (lapped of course)
Ocs now to 425/1130 and temps are 55c idle and...
friend has weird problem, she took PC to best buy hardware is ok, no virus and she has talked to AOL tech support to no avail they all tell her this is a spyware problem, im burning her a cd with adware and spybot have any other suggestions?
i cant find much on the web and given that my motherboard will only go to 2.8v (2.88 actual) what is the top speed i might see from this memory at timmings of say 2.5-4-4-7? currently i run them at 482 2.5-3-3-5.
i ask because im throwing around the idea of getting a 3.4E and using the 14...
well AS5 has not set in yet so temps may drop antoher 1-2C resluts with stock cooling and AS5 was 60C idle 40C ambient and 83C load with 58Cambient
now with silencer temps are 57C idle 37C ambient and load of 76C 51C ambient
shure with AS5 setting in and turning a 92mm fan on this i will...
i just fried my IC7 and my complaints with it was the voltage was not stable dropping .5vcore under load or more( heard about some prob with Asus). The AI7 i had before this could not do 1:1 over 240
so is there a 875p board on earth that can supply an even and stable 1.7vcore AND do 1:1
up to...
if this has been posted here before and i just missed it, im sorry date of article was 2-25-05 has new zalman cooler and Silencer plus another i think
http://www.arcticsquad.com/index.php?lang=1&page=4&id=10
im gonna grab a NV silencer for my card and maybe flash the bios so i can hit 415-425. was wondering if grabbing the vantec spectrum ( pci card fan) and aiming it at the NV silenver would make a difference at all since the air will be blocked from going over heatsink by the NV silencers plasitc...
ive tweaked and overclocked the heck outa it, but here goes for a 6800gt with the new 71.81 drivers
Aquamark 73,686
3dmark 03 13,124
3dmark 05 5587
are these scores good or just what is expected or do they blow lol, ?
im worried just because i spent all of lastnight on a dud bfg 6800gt and...
i cannot get my new 6800gt to run in AGP x8 i have tried 3 diff drivers 2 different chipset drivers from abits site AND intels reformated and still a score of under 7000 in 3dmark 03
in device manager it reads pci bus 1 but everywhere else including bios it shows up as AGP i have been banging...
went from 3.78 down to 3.65 over past 4 months :( how long till i have to get a new CPU? im running 1.69 vcore but have been up to 1.75 trying to regain OC
also i lost 45 mhz changing from AI7 to IC7 :( got new PSU to make shure voltage is steady and nothing is stoping its slow decline :(
i still want enough speed to play online with no hickups also 1 PC and the X box will be down stairs from the router i have a 256/3000 cable connection
got one of the latest stepping prescotts for socket 478 for sale on Ebay starting the Bid @ 125.00 come check it out :) also selling one stick of 512mb BH-5 that does 2-2-2-5 @ 250fsb +
just got her today tomorow i get my new IC7 gonna pair it with OCZ pc4000 rev 2
think i have any shot of hitting 3.9-4.0 with a koolance? i have heard some good stuff about this latest stepping for the pressy
i have decent water cooling, right now im running a 3.0C @ 1.71vcore and its 32c idle and 43C load i think i can keep the pressy under 50C anyway
so with decen cooling how far will your average 3.2E chip go... 3.8? 3.9? 4.0?
any chance in hell to hit 250 fsb?
at 248fsb it passes at 249+ it freezes or reboots system alltogether but will run memetest or prime overnight....anyone have any ideas what problem is?
