vantec spectrum help a NV silencer5 ?

im gonna grab a NV silencer for my card and maybe flash the bios so i can hit 415-425. was wondering if grabbing the vantec spectrum ( pci card fan) and aiming it at the NV silenver would make a difference at all since the air will be blocked from going over heatsink by the NV silencers plasitc stuff ? anyone have an opinion or experience with this?
 
i had my spectrum in with my nv5 and taking it out didnt change temps at all, it just made my computer alot more quiet.

If the ram and gpu heatsink/spreader arent visible then the spectrum is just a waste of time.
