does it need to be an iphone 5? why not a 4s? quite a bit cheaper and while slower still a pretty snappy phone. just a thought and probably what I would lean towards.
if you are going to buy a used phone I'd check out swappa as well as ebay, seems like swappa can have lower prices at times...
nice laptop. this is a hard one to pass up. I have a t400 but its been through a trailer fire (on the whole time) and got pretty melty and been dropped so many times parts of the magnesium frame are completely broken so its hard to open the lid the screen coming off on one side. still works...
its a 20pk so 126 a drive
edit: not a very hot deal. and slightly cheaper, even factoring in shipping, to buy them as single drives. although i suppose this was a joke *shrug*
so I picked up a VOX n1 NAS that was posted in [h]otdeals: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1512061
I got the IDE version for a drive I had laying around.
Anyway I would like telnet/ssh access and I think its possible. Here is what I know so far:
its based in a RDC 2882-G chip...
thanks OP! great deal. i actually purchased the IDE + NAS version for a 650gb drive i've had sitting around for a while with out much for a home.
can't beat $13 bucks

@Database, dang sorry it here that, i signed up a couple hours a go for a friend and it went through fine. they are doing a 2 week trial period so you should be able to cancel your account before they charge you. hopefully
i guess the deal is over now though. sorry for posting this so late...
just encase people didn't know about it.
8. NO SITE-HOSTING DEALS, period.
the offer ends 11:59pm PST
i've used dreamhost for a couple years just for personal hosting, never had any problems.
a couple of weeks ago some very odd wireless networks starting showing up on my computer.
i can't connect to them. i have included a screenshot so you know what i mean by odd. its just the fact that they show up and there names are garbage.
the names change pretty often, and the number of...
bump for interest.
do you still have this for sale? curious what shape its in (i know you said great), been used a lot? does it come with charger and all that?
thanks!
last time this was going on, i went in and tried to get a pair and they wouldn't give them to me, said i had to be female. even though it doesn't say anything about a gender requirement on the coupon.
so yeah you probably wont be able to get 2 pairs if you go in with your g/f. you'd think they...
I'm not a huge gamer but i've been surprised at how well ubuntu can handle games and most windows applications.
i use wine and run tf2 just fine in ubuntu with an ati card. although my laptop isn't the best for gaming anyway
i usually play older games starcraft works great in ubuntu don't even...
the install is only a few days old. I figure i'll run it for a while, having never run vista before I atleast have too learn it a bit more before making any decisions about it.
I've looked through msconfig I was surprised that there really isn't too much running that shouldn't be running...
well this gets off the topic of UAC and what not which has been quite interesting but it goes back to vista in general.
I've been running vista for a few days now and actually i've been kinda unimpressed. once it is running it does seem to load applications quite fast and handles basic...
perhaps i should of been more clear in my post, I didnt mean to say I wanted to tweak vista performance, if that is what your post is referring too. I only meant that I tend to be a little taken back by all the features in vista in there default mode but you can allways change them a bit and...
Well for some reason i never thought I would do it but I decided on a 64bit vista Vista install. I'm currently going through the process of installing drivers. I decided against running 32bit XP because it just seemed like I should at least use an operating system that has the potential of using...
if your machine is completly froze up, I would say that is probably your only option.
if you have files you need on there you might want to copy them off the hard drive onto another comp if you have it (seems like you do cause you just made this post lol) and do a format. but then I'm always a...
well this has been an interesting thread. seems like one of those never ending topics, but i definitely appreciate the input. considering i've never run vista, i might just install it to check it out and see what i think, which is really the only way i'll decide if i should run it.
i like the...
oh good to know i didn't realize that, i hadn't tried it my self actually, probably wont work for mine either then. wonder if you called then or maybe the university tech people if they would help you out, seems kinda cheap to not give you the 64bit version, but who knows.
if you have the vaild 32bit key you can get the 64bit dvd sent to you for 10bucks plus shipping at:

yeah i didn't mean to be saying that i wanted to turn it off, i think its an awesome. i just thought that maybe one of these vista cache features might buffer videos also, but your probably right just changing the buffer in the video player would help.
@Mithent and JoNo216 thanks! those are both interesting replys, i definitly don't know a lot about some of the vista features. my computer did come with vista it just has xp installed right now. I'm definitely interested in the powersaving options. didn't know about readydrive, seems like a cool...
heh that was actually the only reason i could see for installing vista.
@Valnar thanks for your response, this is pretty much what i was thinking, and I guess i don't really see the point of running vista just because my hardware can handle it. i'd rather use the hardware for other things...
Hey ya'll i wanted some input from some [h]ardforumers.
i just bought a lenovo t400 model 2765-t2u with 2 more gigs of ddr3. here are the specs:
so here is the deal, it came running xp sp2 and i was going to go ahead and do a clean install of xp just to free up some diskspace, i'm not...
