i have the k70 rgb kbd and never had a problem with it tho i never move it as sat on my desk and best kbd i have had, also the mouse is the best that fits my hand but not long after i got it i had to turn it on and off for months after a firmware update where the dpi would go to slowest speed...
lol not much point cleaning it now tho had to replace the micro switch on my old razor mouse but that lasted 6 years b4 it started double clicking and had to be replaced, it still works fine.
and this mouse is also doing this as well and not long after the wheel has broken just over a year old.
mine broke with only web browsing office type work and not 1 game played with it and seems all are failing at a alarming rate still in warranty.
im done with this company buzzing psu buggy firmware updates and now this is the last straw.
it is not in stock so going with this one now https://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-seasonic-focus-gx-750-80plus-gold-single-rail-fully-modular-62a-120mm-fan-atx-psu
none say cpu on the cable but i have 1 8 pin and 1 split 4pin+4pin for the cpu on this psu so the listing is wrong but should not make any difference i did ring scan tech support on friday and also said this and to try swap the 8 pin cpu power cables around and same thing it clicks and will not...
i have used a old mobo with a 20 pin connector and the psu does power on and fan is spinning but when both 8 pin psu connectors are connected in my system it will not power on and clicks, it is 100% coming from the psu .
i got this to replace that as driving me up the wall but at least it...
they had nothing in stock when i bought it with 2 eps cpu power and did say it was crap in another thread lol
ill send it back and try this as same price and in stock now...
i put the corsair psu back in it and all working fine bar the coil wine does not make any sense bar it is faulty, also cpuid hw monitor stops working if i use the usb cable for icue
i just tested the 20 pin on a old mobo and the psu is turning on and the fan is spinning so it does work but dont have any way to test the 2 8pin cpu connectors.
i bought this but it will not turn on the computer.

think ill get that if i have to rma this thing but out of stock and can take 72hrs to process my rma atm
no the new psu will be for the new build it is just to keep this thing going until it is built as not got enough cash atm for all the parts.
if the guy says my old psu is not worth saving then there is this on scan but looks crap tbh but the cheapest they got atm...
so is this rig lol but ill try a new adaptor direct to the wall and see if it goes away and if not ill get it sent back and get a different brand for the new rig.
i just thought if i can get the old psu working again for 40 quid it is going to be cheaper than buying another psu for it with dual...
yes but if i send it back i wont have a computer, this psu was for my new threadripper build but i can see loads of posts on the corsair forum for the same issue.
im trying to get my old psu recapped first stick that back in this system so i can then send this thing back to scan.
i have had a fair few psu over the years and none have made a noise like this i can hear it 2 feet away sat in my chair, if this is normal for these psu then i dont want another one which is a shame but i cant stick this noise it is making atm.
yes it makes the noise just doing nothing ill try turn the fans down so can hear it a bit better but need to move a 18u rack full of equipment to get to the plug socket and try changing that first.
i am in the uk but would using 230v from the wall be the cause?
i dont think the psu fan was even spinning but i can hear it sat in my chair so it is getting annoying.
ill try a different adaptor or plug the psu straight in to a plug socket and see if that gets rid of it.
if not ill have to rma it and look for another brand psu
i put the action cam i have at the back of the psu on the kettle lead it still does not pick it up very well but i can hear it .
i just dont want to rma this thing and get another that is the same and makes a buzzing noise.
i have never had a psu make this noise so cant be right ?
at about...
the psu is brand new but the vid does not pick up the sound it is making very good but it is defentley coming from the power supply.
https://forum.corsair.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=134860
it sounds like crickets inside the psu it is not very loud but it is annoying and the psu was not cheap...
well i found a guy local that can recap it and said about 40 quid so can get that sorted.
but this new psu is making a buzzing sound it is not even under any load and the fan is not spinning but it is def coming from the psu:(
i got a new psu today but want to try fix it if possible as it is worth more than the computer it is in and was for my thread ripper build.

started doing this last week and was a slow ticking noise that just got faster to the point the system whould keep restarting and had to be shut down for a few hrs but now it is constantly restarting at random points.
it is from 2008 so well past the warranty and lucky i got a new psu today but...
