ok. I haven't read a lot but did read some posts that said there was crashes and instability without TPM on older CPUs but that could have been with pre-GA builds.
I only have 1 in a mirror. My storage needs aren't big but I'd definitely want more storage if i upgraded as i find myself deleting some stuff to stay under 1TB. non one uses this system except me. They are also 7200 RPM drives so I assume If I went to 5400 I can still max 1GB with just me using...
yeah i'm on a 1Gb network. Standard home setup. Drive age is the main reason i'm considering this. Freenas is reporting bad sectors on one of the drives in my mirror and these things are old. I don't even remember when i bought them. 10 years?
I've been gaming a long time and have not upgraded my i6700K since it came out in early 2016. I've upgraded my card a few times and am now with a 1080Ti but i remember upgrading every 2 years max back in the day. Even at 1440p gaming it feels like faster CPUs just aren't that important anymore?
Hi i'm running a freenas server with SAMSUNG HD103UJ I've had for god knows how long. 10 years?

If it worth upgrading the drives to get more transfer speed? I am thinking...
Thanks. my XB270HU died and the 271 seemed like the next best deal. I was hesitant to buy the same brand twice after the former dying but I did spend 1000s of hours on that monitor over 5 years.
i've been fighting lines on the left side of the monitor, flickering and black outs for months. At some point i jiggled the cable such that it worked in games for 3 months but now it's bad again. I'ts okish with the lines coming and going while i browse but once i start gaming the monitor goes...
Update. thanks everyone. i bought a thermaltake 750w gold. the price seemed right at $75 and it's modular.
no crashes for a few weeks gaming. now i want to return this 1080ti but i love it!. got it open boxed for 630 out the door with tax.
When i run the occt PSU test it only stresses my video card to like 35%. does not seem to be pushing it as hard as it can go. RAM ~14GB of 16 and CPU 100%
My game was crashing non stop even with stock defaults. my mother board had been sketchy for years. it would not sleep properly, USB was flakey, etc.. I would get signal lost all the time in various games. it started happening so frequently it became intolerable. this was a Z170 Asus board with...
Does anyone else have an issue with the club challenges not updating today? i have 1 minute left on Arcade Dawn live event when the day started played a lot and status is the same.
I got a K70 Lux RGB this week. it's great. i can't believe i'm using a loud mechanical keyboard after 20 years and doing it for gaming to boot. I feel like a man child
