What is a "scalped" card?

55" is way to big for a desktop display. I tried 50" samsung last year and couldn't handle it. Everything above 40" is overkill, imo.

Is 75Hz only with FreeSync? Or can it be done with an nVidia card. I currently have 38" LG 3840x1600, but it can't do 75Hz on an nVidia card. The fonts on 3840x1600 seem to be smaller than on 30" Dell (2560 x 1600). I dont know why, maybe some PPI stuff which is too complicated for me. P.S...

I've had a Dell 30" 2560 x 1600 for 15 years not and love it The font size is just right for some reason. Newer monitors have font size too small for me :< Is there anything more recent, with g-synch maybe?

I have Titan V. Should I: 1. sell and get a 2080Ti 2. Water-cool Titan V 3. Do nothing and play on air ??? Display Resolution: 3840 x 1600 Right now It runs 43'C idle and 83'C under load (warm room). No OC.

So nVidia is not gonna use Volta in gaming cards, instead they announced some new architecture named Ampere, with no roadmap or dates. Suddenly, i don't feel bad about buying Titan V. All i wish for now is for someone to make an hybryd watercooler kit for it.

That's what i meant. x1600 resolution translates into extra space. I had these monitors side by side and the LG38" simply owns. If it had gsync instead of stupid freesync it would have been perfect

Get the LG 38UC99 It's 38" widescreen. The size and resolution is fantastic. I prefer it over 34" widescreen.

It's not the same, because 3440x1440 isn't nearly good as 3840 x 1600. I had both and sold off the 3440x1440 (3840 x 1600 is so much better)

I find this hard to believe. After 8 years the liquid would have turned into a shitty goo. And rubber/plastic pipes would have deteriorated.

So i bought a TITAN V for gaming (Arriving later today. Impulse buy because of bigdick numbers) Should I have gone for 2 x Vega 64 (crossfire) (i also have a 38" inch FreeSynch monitor 3840 x 1600)

Is AMD hopelessly left behind? Do they even plan to release anything close to Volta ? I've been waiting for 15 years now to get a good AMD card, but it seems they are constantly and severely get outperformed by nvidia.
