I had 3 of those figuring i could control them with a fan controller. It didnt work i had the beefiest controller i could find (was 45 or 60 watts per channel) and they were uncontrollable. With them not being controllable they were so freakin loud it was like the space shuttle taking off!

I got an MSI board with the OC Genie and its running my core i7 Sandy at 4.2.

I got coretemp installed. Giving me temps of 41 to 45 degrees C per core. Is this safe?? i turned it to F and it was saying roughly 150 degrees and was about to shut down.

Great thanks :) Using core temp i can uninstall the Koolance frequency adapter im guessing. Ohwell another wasted 20 bucks :p

Hmm now that i think about it don't the Core I series have auto shut off built in if they reach a certain temp?? Thats pretty much same thing. I just want a bit of security so i dont kill a brand new machine lol

Can you suggest a program thru windows to do this?? I go into the mobo bios i see the cpu fan and all i will allow me to do is set it to differetn numbers 0% 25% etc. Not sure if 0 means if this reaches 0 shut down or what.

So i got 3 Gentle Typhoon AP15's and the fan controller actually works!!! So im wondering why wont the controller work with the 5400's???(#D1225C12BBAP-31):confused:

Nope Got Lamptron FC2 plenty of watts and didnt work. Just ran full speed. On the fan box i noticed other day it says 5400min. Figured you could still reduce speed via controller and people have said you can on forums and thru emails. Guess not:confused:

With the 3 of them going it was louder then a space shuttle launch. So the 1450's and 1850's you can turn the rpm up and down with fan controller??

Figured i would be able to turn them down. Thinking if i could and they were not to loud at say half speed it would be a win win (The 1850s are never in stock and werent when i bought the 5400s)

The gentle tyhpoons have a 3 pin and molex power . So the are not fan controller controlabe??

Got the beep sorted out. I had two 6-pci 6+2 cables hooked up to my video which is an 8 p and a 6 connections. I had asked n another forum if that would work they said yes but i guess not. I plugged the normal pci cables from psu and beep was gone. Now im just trying to get my lights and fan...

I turn system on. I got all my lights and fan control plugged in.On boot i get 1 long beep that goes on forever. The fans come on but the fan controller doesnt light up and my UV lights dont work. Im at a loss for what it could be.

Blah Disaster has struck!! Powered on system for first time and all i get is a loud BEEEEEEP so the trouble shooting begins :(

I know its probably an odd question but the 6pin to 6+2 doesnt semm to make sense unless you can use it on the 8 pin slot.

After months of waiting the build is underway!!!:D Started my leak test last night after 24 hours glad to report no leaks. I will finish routing cables etc tomorrow and ill post some pics :D

I made the same set up as Lazy Man. Same filter with a decent pump and 1/2ID tubing. Just waiting for my 1/4x 1/2 barbs for the Rad. Got to love the "Set it and forget it" set up.:D

Cause i have a bunch of it so might as well use it.

I'm just gonna make a loop setup to clean it out.

Do i want to do it till it empties 100% clear for a few flushes or is tiny sand sized flakes normal and ok??
