Wow you guys really proved that you're Nvidia fanboys in this review. Pretty much every page was putting Ati down. Crysis gameplay experience was much better on the GTX 295, even though the 4870X2 has nearly identical framerates? Sounds like bullshit to me.
And what's this about?

Funny how there's no evidence of these clocks anywhere in those images. Not even a CPUZ or screenshot!
Sounds incredibly fishy if you ask me but i don't doubt AMD's will to be top. 6GHz is incredible for booting windows on a quad core and i think that only a few people, if not only Kingpin...
That Asus board has 2 sockets and is meant for servers and workstations (such as rendering farms). It's not for gaming as it'll be a huge waste of money and power. What you want to get if you have no/high budget limits at all is the new Intel I7 quad and Evga's X58 motherboard. Like the guy up a...
I think that the P5Q-E is an excellent board but i'm slightly put off because it isn't giving me any temperature/voltage/current reports of anything apart from the CPU. On my 680i board i got MOSFET current and temps, NB voltage and temps, SB voltage and temps and a few other options...
What vcore are you using? I can get my C0 stepping E8500 to 4.8GHz with 1.58v but it's only stable for benching because load temps are in the high 60s.
OP you should be able to get 3.6 with stock volts, probably even undervolted. I've been running 3.6 with only 1.16v for a few months now.
You must have a good batch. My E8500 can't do 4.5GHz without 1.48v. I also wouldn't leave FSB Term on auto. A guy on another forums measured it to go as high as 1.6v if you leave it on auto and go up to 4.5GHz. That'll kill your cpu in a few days most likely.
I would ship first yes. If in the UK i would be posting by Special Delivery or Worldwide would either be Parcelforce or UPS. I'm not sure on UPS's prices but Parcelforce would charge £24 for postage to the US.
Hey. This was originally for a friends build but he decided to go with the Q6600 instead. It's retail boxed and completely unopened. I have 168 feedback 100% positive on Ebay.
Batch code: L823A969
Pack Date: 07/31/08
Looking for around £170 shipped but will take offers that aren't...
Just raising vcore usually does it. Most of the time i increase FSB and then raise vcore accordingly but if i'm in a hurry i'll just bump vcore up to the safest level and raise FSB as far as it will go.
My friend showed me the demo of this and i was blown away. Graphics are awesome and i like the small notices for when you should be pressing O or X ect.
I managed to get a Laptop from ebay for my brothers birthday. Was only £50 and plays 1.6 pretty well. Has a Pentium 2GHz, 9600 and 512mb ram. Some of the keys are buggered on it though and the touchpad skips every 2 seconds.
Anyone have any tips for getting this to boot from the 9.0 post code? I know that the code represents the bios being corrupt/not there, but i bought a bios replacement and have since had no luck. :(
I would say 1.35v maximum for vtt. Your temps seem pretty good so try raising vcore to 1.43v and raising the FSB to 370. If it is stable for an hour at 370 try 375. Keep going up in 5's until it's not stable. Back down the FSB by 3 and check if it's stable for as long as possible.
Don't be worried. The capacitors aren't really 'bent', just leaning over. If they were bent they probably would have snapped off seeing as how close they are to the motherboard.
Trying to think of some designs for my 900's side panel but so far i've only come up with 2 and they aren't really very good  Just hoping that you guys can throw me some ideas. I've taken a picture of the panel incase you want to show visually.
Side panel
I'm thinking maybe Chevy...
You should be setting the voltage for the ram at 2v rather than leaving it to auto. You should also test each stick individually on your AMD box if not done already. If you get no errors on the AMD mobo then it might be a problem with the P5Q-pro's northbridge cooling not being able to handle...
Cleared the cmos but still getting the error. How the hell can both chips be buggered?
I might RMA for a refund and get a different motherboard. Should i stick with the P5Q's?
Okay. I swapped the chips around as the CPR didn't work, but still no-go. I either get a blank screen or the checksum comes back up. I might try an RMA to be honest.
No messages come up during the reprogram. I know that there is a second BIOS chip which is supposed to act as a backup but either that is corrupt or it just fancies sitting there i don't know. If i leave the drive empty the motherboard just cycles through Floppy/CD/USB until it finds P5QE.ROM.
