Thanks for the info tiraides. As I said I've been out of the loop with everything for about 4-5 years. I'll just post in this thread around August then; however, could you enlighten me on what a better board may be?
Watercooling just comes down to what would fit in the case I have, I would...
Hey [H] been awhile since I've upgraded my PC and I'm a bit out of the loop but I think it's time for a new PC altogether. I was wondering if some of you maybe be able to check out what I've come up with for a sub $1000 gaming PC, I'll post the link to my pcpartpicker after the questionnaire...
First off not sure if this is the best place for this, but if not I'm sorry.
Anyways I am wondering if there is anywhere that anyone knows of that you can still buy the P182SE ( The mirror'd case) anymore. I know all of the big name retailers no longer sell it, but I am possibly trying to get...
Just recieved the Ultra-Secret BF Deals promotion email from Newegg. These deals are actually worth it. Ex. 47" LG 1080p LCD HDTV orig. 1,699.99 BF 599.99
Hey everyone I was looking to see if anyone could check out my system I am putting together for a friend of mine. I have been out of the loop for around a year now but I think the build I put together is pretty decent.
Below are the answers to the questions as well as a link to the shared...
Alright everyone it's been a few months since I've posted, but I feel I am going to grab some attention from everyone with this one.
Starting Monday I will begin to mod my old 15" TV with VCR into an extremely portable low-end system. ( I may upgrade the internals as time goes on, depending...
Thanks for the quick response Eagle as far as the motherboard, I don't know AMD motherboards. I have been out of the loop for a few months.
Could you maybe pick a motherboard out for me?
Alright here is the list and as far as the questions.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
It will strictly be a gaming system.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
~$800 not including shipping.
3) Where do you live?
Continental US
4)...
Hey all I have been out of the loop for a few months and I have a list put together.
I was wondering if someone could try and save me some money, or recommend some better parts.
The system will be used for gaming only and some movie watching. The budget is ~$800 pref.
Here's my build...
Water-cooling isn't a must and would probably be added later, however if it is possible without major mods then I will still attempt to install a water-cooling setup.
-edit-
I have no problems with compromising those are just the things that if at all possible I would like. The only musts I...
- What's the priority of this rig? (Or, what will you be using this system for the most?)
High End Gaming
- Which games do you play/plan on playing?
MW2, tf2, cs:s, occasionally Crysis. (mostly FPS) Also play Assassins Creed and Oblivion. I don't know what I plan on playing, but all games I...
Yeah I saw that board, just wasn't sure on its performance. Well if Massive Overkill makes his way to this thread and helps me out that would be absolutely great.
Also thanks for the help jeremey. It was greatly appreciated.
Would it possible to fit a Res, 240mm Rad, 1 CPU Block, and 2 GPU...
Good to hear they are coming out with another great DFI board.
I am wanting to go mATX just for the fact that I will be using Crossfire. Are there any motherboards that you would recommend for mATX LGA1366 with the ability to use dual gfx cards?
Ok, I now see what your saying and I am going to be going mATX then so I should be able to fine a motherboard.
The problem is I got out of the loop for new CPUs and such right before the i5's were released, and thank you for clarifying the LGA1156 i7 860 vs the LGA1366 i7 960+.
I am not quite...
I think I confused a few people. When I was refering to SFF I just meant Small Form Factor, aka mATX/mITX I didn't mean actual SFF. Hopes this clears things up. Also I did notice that there were if not few then no i7 boards, so if I go the intel route i5 would suffice.
*edit* jeremey, is this...
Well for question #1 the computer will be used for everything. Mainly gaming, but some web design, as well as just day to day use.
Also for the budget I would say around $2000 and I do not need peripherals.
Anyone know of anything that could help me with a Small Form Factor build?
Here are some parts that I am just not sure would be good or not but what I have in mind.
CPU- if intel then i7, but may go AMD if so no clue
Mobo- Depends on intel/AMD
HDD- 2 SSD 80+gigs each
Case- Da Box by LanGear...
Hey [H]. With Black Friday coming up I was going to look into starting a build over time.
I want to build an mITX/mATX rig, so when DaBox by mattinv comes out I can fit a rig in there. I don't know much about the newer processors i7+, and I haven't ever fooled around with SFF builds so I have...
Alright well then hopefully Wednesday Newegg is still offering the free shipping on the monitor as well. Then for $270 the monitor is priced perfectly.
Thanks for the help.
Wow Jetski thanks for the huge reply. And I don't really undersatnd the concept of the Bing+cashback. Would using Bing result in a decent amount of savings when buying or would it be buy the item then after so and so receive money back?
Wow that's great! I can't wait for this to reach my doorstep; however, would you recommend buying it now, or do you think with black friday coming up the prices will drop even lower?
Also thanks for the advice on the viewing angle.
Ok Well I decided Im going to go with the Hanns.G 28" Monitor and use my 20" Vizio as a TV seeing as I will most likely be the only one watching it. Thanks fior everyones feedback.
Case looks amazing. Will probably be picking one up when it's released. Also the idea of having the limited edition is great and if there was a red/yellow I might have to get that one instead. Good luck with finishing everything up and great to see it can house a ATI HD5970.
I am interested in buying a Evga 8800gts 512mb (G92) as I already have one and would like to go SLI. Also if anyone is selling DDR2 4gb (2x2gb) RAM I am willing to make an offer.
All offers will be taken into consideration.
Thanks for the input. And I sit right in front of my monitor at almost all times. I can also use the 20" Vizio for viewing TV. Another question I have is would the HannsG be bad for watching movies from an external.
I have decided to upgrade my monitor this coming Black Friday. Currently I'm using a 20" Vizio HDTV as my TV and my monitor. http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-VX20L-widescreen-720p-HDTV/dp/B000PBMOQM
My budget is around $600-700. I currently have a 8800 GTS (512 mb) and was wondering if this HannsG...
