Can you really tell a big difference between a 6 bit panel and an 8 bit? Because the 1970GX looked dam sweet to me. It looked alot better than the Viewsonic VP930B anyway...
Just got back from Frys. I saw the new widescreen viewsonic. Its not for me, I could barely see things, my vision sucks so having a resolution of like 1600x1200 is overkill. Then I saw the NEC MultiSync LCD1970GX-BK sitting next to it, wow that one just blew me away. I love that coating on the...
I'm thinking about getting this LCD, the viewsonic that is. But my question is, how easy is it to see the desktop? I mean my vision is pretty crappy. I run my desktop at 1024x768 on my 19 inch crt. When I use the LCD at work its at 1280x1024 with large fonts and DPI on. Now with this LCD the...
How is the LG L1920PQ LCD? I think its a true 8 bit panel. I was thinking about going 21 inch or more but I only want to play at 1280x1024. How are LG's in general?
What is the best 8 bit panel with 8 ms or less LCD right now? I'm looking to get an LCD. I think my 19 inch CRT might be dying. Its making an a weird buzz which is actually pretty loud and its never done that before. And ever so often it gets what looks like waves going from top to bottom.
Also I noticed on Behardware that they said it wasn't an 8 bit panel but a 6 bit TN panel. Is this true, every other website I saw said it was an 8 bit...
I'm thinking about getting this Benq as well. Although I see its contrast is only 600. I used to have the viewsonic vp930b which had 1000. Will I notice a big difference between the two? And what is the correct aspect ratio for a LCD at 20.1? I see some have a native resolution of 1600x1200...
I have a HP ze4400 laptop for sale. It has a dead hard drive though. But everything else is fine. Its got 768 megs of ram. a 15 inch screen and a dvd/cdrw drive. Its a touch pad. It will come with a full version of windows xp home. Its about 2 years old. Its got a AMD 2200 cpu in it. I'm looking...
Well I just returned the viewsonic vp930b lcd 8ms. I had it about a week or two. For desktop use it was great, no problems. For games :( I noticed blurring right away, turned vsync on and it helped a little, but no where near the as good as my mitsubishi diamond pro 930sb crt. It gave me...
That's weird. If I use the viewsonic vp930b driver for the monitor, it wouldn't let me play bf2 at 75hz. If I uninstall it and just use the default microsoft one its fine at 75hz go figure...
I have a new Lcd that supports refresh rates up too 75hz. When I launch Bf2 at 1280x1024@75Hz its crashes back to the desktop. If I set it too 60hz it will launch fine. How the heck do you get it to play at 75hz?
How about a Mitsubushi Diamond Pro 930SB 19 inch CRT....I have one for sale, perfect condition. It's about 2 years old. I just got a 19 inch LCD, that's the only reason I am getting rid of it. One of the best 19 inch CRT's ever made...
Does anyone know when the new hyundai q90u comes out? I've heard its basicly the same as the l90d+ but it has a true 8 bit panel and its response time is like 3 ms
I just saw some footage from Quake Con and from what they showed I would say about 95% of the monitors they showed people playing on were CRT's. That's what I don't get. If LCD's are good at gaming, why do most if not all people that goto gaming cons use CRT's?
I bought the viewsonic vp930b for $449.00 with free 2 day shipping from zipzoomfly. I'll try see if I like it. If not I can always return it. I just hope it looks as good as my dads new l90d+...
I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB for sale. Its about 2 years old. I got it from Newegg. Its a 19 inch CRT diamondtron. Its in perfect condition, no scratches dents etc. I'm looking to get $100 for it, OBO. I'll ship it anyway in the usa via ups ground for $20 extra. Anyone interested let me...
Has anyone gotten a chance to see this lcd is action? Its only $289.00 and it has better specs than the viewsonic vp930b which is like $200 more. Its got 8 ms response time. 700:1 contrast and 300 cd/m2 brighteness and its an 8 bit panel. The viewsonic looks nicer but for $289.00 that's a nice...
From what I understand its basicly a crt in the size of an lcd, with all the benefits, like less power space etc... but the response time is that of a crt :-)
On Acer's website it says it 300 cd/m2 and on neweggs its 400 cd/m2, I wonder which one it is? Also on Acer website it says its 8 ms and on neweggs its 6 ms....
Funny the one I'm looking at is a oem from newegg maybe its your :-) So aside from the fact it was too glossy for you it was a good lcd? My room is always dark so that's not a problem for me...
I just saw the specs on this lcd monitor. It says its a 6ms response time lcd with an 8 bit panel and a brighteness of 400 cd/m2 and a contrast of 700:1, is this true? Its like $300 which is like the cheapeast 19 inch lcd in its class then...How are acer lcd's anyway
I've had my dad's l90d+ next to my vp191b one is a 6 bit and one is an 8 bit. To be honest I notice no difference between the two, they looked exactly the same to me...
I have the Diamond Pro 930SB mitsubushi for about 2 years now. Its by far the best crt I've ever owed. I've tried to make the jump to lcd's but everytime I start to game on them I end up switching back to the 930sb :-) Which blows away any lcd for gaming......
