Just got my 20in LCD i was wondering which would be better to do ... hook up with DVI or the regular composit setup .... never used DVI but happened to notice my ATI X850XT had the DVI option also and the monitor came with a cable . So if anyone has any info let me know . I do alot of gaming...
Did a little messing around and got the score to 6889 with a little OC and adjusted the Apature ... thanks for the info guys and yes it is an X850XT and not a pro .
got the cooling way down it used to sit idle at 39C with a little riggin with GhETTo air cooling i got it down to a good level i...
I dont mind tearing into the Rig i built the thing ;) and i can switch over if i liked they have options. I could use a hybrid Mobo that has the option then down the line i could switch the PCI-E if i choose. Allowing me to use the AGP card for now...
I went back into the settings and looked im telling ya its all turned on the pictures are going to look a little haggard unless you DL em to your desktop usually IE will resize em and make them look distorted .
Purchased a X850XT GDDR3 AGP GPU have been an ATI Fan for a long time owned 9600PRO 128DDR 9800PRO also never had any problems out of any of them until now. I am an avid BF2 player and expected big things from this card... needless to say i am not impressed at all. I have poked around the net...
BF2 was created and coded with Nvidia Gforce cards in mind that is one of the reasons that Nvidia is one of the major launch partners for this franchise also at E3 this year nvidia played a major role in marketing and sponcership of the game. i have more details on this if you are interested.

Yes i did all that in the Catalist setup choose the highest settings and check the application prefrence box and let the application choose the one best fit for it which i think the max is 6X for this game.
The video was recorded playing on the X850XT at 1600x1200 with all the bells and whistles turned up ! the program is called Fraps it records and saves the video in AVI format. I went ahead and did a quick encode into Divx format to lower the file size from 455Mb to 5Mb.
Like i said in my origional post these pictures are to be downloaded to your desktop and opened in a picture viewer and you will see the quality of the pic's i just tossed them up there for the sake of conversation and pointing out differences in the cards i know Temporal is no match for the...

It looks as tho there is no AA on but it is set at 4XAA and 16XAF it may look distorted because that was captured during live gameplay and at a large resolution the picture to be displayed right needs to be downloaded to your desktop .Then open it up with a picture viewer.
the Temporal AA only works as an extra for the card if the frame rates fall below 60FPS it turns off ...... oh and by the way the 7800 pics are working

Yea i know it has HDTV capabilities but i recived the card as a demo to test all i recived were the drivers and that was it . i know it can hook to my TV i just needed to know the PIN setup if it is 7 or 9 because some cards have different setups ..... i dont know but i counted 9 pin slots on...

thanks for the advice i have been reading and noticed that they have been saying that the AMD64bit has been more based for games etc and that INTEL is more for Multi tasking programs etc... im sure their is a lot more to it but oh well ... thanks again .
