Just wondering if a 4669 was a good score out of a X850XT AGP right out of the box no tweaks ?

what are the rest of you specs? Hard to make a informed decision with just a video card

My Specs

(754)AMD 64 2800+ OC 2.25Ghz (Newcastle core)
Asus K8N nForce3
X850XT AGP
1.5G DDR ram
80G Segate Baracuda
XP PRO

that doesnt sound right at all.. i hit almost 6k stock on my aiw x800xt

Just ran 3dmarks05 with my athlon 2500+ @ 2.2ghz (so 3200+) and stock x800xt speeds. Score came in at 5732, so your score is low for a x850xt. Sure its not the x850pro?

Yes that's slow. I get about 6000 at least when I run my X850 Pro at XT speeds and my CPU is an old Athlon XP on slow NF2.

I get near 7000 with my card overclocked.

Aggh! I know! Isn't this aggravating? Don't worry, there is a solution to this low score problem and it happened with me and my X850XT PE. It seems to only happen with Asus AGP boards too.

You need to go into your mobo settings and change your AGP apeture size from 64MB to 128MB or 256MB. I got almost exactly your score (something around 4700) before, went WTF and changed the apeture to 256. Now I get 6100 non-OC'd.

Did a little messing around and got the score to 6889 with a little OC and adjusted the Apature ... thanks for the info guys and yes it is an X850XT and not a pro .
got the cooling way down it used to sit idle at 39C with a little riggin with GhETTo air cooling i got it down to a good level i think.

yeah, that looks better now....i have a x800 pro and I got about 5800 on 3DMark05

thats horrible i hit 7400 on my dual opteron 170 at 2.7ghz with my card overclocked to the bleeding edge(windows open OC with CCC)
