With 3800+ I doubt anyone got over 3Ghz. With Opteron 170 I could get 2.8GHZ with good air cooling. With liquid I guess it is possible but I haven't been following much. BTW I run 1:1 at 250FSB to be stable and make sure I don't overheat anything if I get lazy cleaning my case screens for cooling.

With laptops I imagine they put a minimal video card to control heat and use little power to save battery life. I am sure it will be fine for whatever you do as long as you are not playing any modern games on it.
