Wow thats concerning considering my 9800 GTX just arrived today. I upgraded from a 8800 GT as well. I'm sure something is wrong, I hope it's not your card. Which MB and PS do you have? I'm going to install mine tonight, I'll let you know if I have similar problems. I have not run Vista on...
I was going to loose my setup, so I selected the 9800 GTX just for the fact that it was $200 cheaper than the 8800 GTX, maybe not as fast (close enough I won't notice) cooler running and less power... but overall it was the $200 difference!
When you pay little you get little. Get the best card you can afford you will thank yourself later...I mean how much is $30-$80 these days " A TANK OF FREAKIN GAS"
The GX2 is 10.5" same as the 8800 GTX so the 9800 GTX is 1.5" shorter. This as I said is according to EVGA spec sheet for each card. Height is the same on all 3 cards.
Man I can't remember what the VIC 20 or Commodore 64 had in them:D
My first real card was maybe matrox or cirrus logic SVGA PCI card w 1MB or something like that.Man I can't remember now I'm really curious what I had exactly. Anyone know where I can find a graphics card time line listed by...
$50.00 for a Corsair, who cares how long it lasts. You will spend more money in a week on crap you don't really need which more than justifys the Corsair purchase. I have a Corsair 520HX paid $100 for.....its just as strong as the day I got it.
Well I choose not to Bypass....actually my Step-up was about to expire so I took the plunge. Going to an almost top of line card for $50 really not much to think about. Going from a 8800 GT 512mb to a 9800GTX I should see all my setting up higher than they are now... If I could just get off...
? How long after you entered your payment info, did it take to verify payment and send you an instructional email on what to do next. I paid yesterday and have not heard anything back yet.
Funny I was thinking the same thing on calling it the 9800. Though the Pro was not my first card it was a good card. My first card was a Diamond ......? can't remember the name it had an INDY racecar on the front to show it was fast:D. I bought it so I could run the orginal Wolfenstien faster...
Yes I will get a 9800GTX just for the fact my Stepup ends in 5 days.Right now I'm in que #53 for the EVGA step up program. Stepping up from a 8800GT 512mb non X or S for $50 seemed like a great deal, rather than losing my step up privilage. I was going for the GX 2 but could not justify the cost...
Yes I have the BR remote....Yes I live in a Condo connected to other units, No I do not have a PSP w/ Remote Play activated. Tonight I will check the settings for Remote play. I'm leaning toward the Remote idea though.
Oh BTW the "It has become self aware. Smash it, and smash it now before it...
I'm new to the PS3 so I'm not sure if this is normal or not but, somedays I come home from work my PS3 will be turned on after I know it was off. Is this normal, is it trying to update because I have it setup through my wireless? My concern is when I'm not using it, its behind a glass door of my...
I used to Fold for a different team, then I moved to Hawaii and my electric bill quadrupled thats all it took. Then after moving back to the mainland I donated my 6 folding rigs to friends, family. Just lost intrest as I do in most things that do not keep me entertained. Though I still have one...
From what I've been reading they are getting some descent OC'ing at stock cooling. So all in all I was going to step up to a 8800 GTX but for $220 less I think I'll be happy with the 9800GTX.
UHHH that would be Dell..lol. I just got through building my son's rig with a 8800GTX, I still needed a card, and I had a $99 credit with Dell so one thing led to another and BAM!.....overpaid!
So I pulled the trigger on my EVGA step-up because I only have 5 days left, So do you think going from a 8800GT 512mb (non S or X) to the 9800GTX for $74.00 which includes UPS 3-day was worth it?
I just upgraded my case, I say my case becuase I replaced everything in it. Just to play COD4.....Yikes! Anyway I took my SP/MP profile from my laptop w/ Vista and stuck into the new install on the new pc which has XP.....No Problems Here.
I just got mine a week ago and love it. The only con I can think of is, make sure you get the larger battery upgrade. Yes it will stick out a little farther in the back but it is worth it in my opinion. This thing tends to eat up my standard battery in about 3 hrs but usually less...seems to be...
I guess it was a oneday special because it was $255 -$50 instant rebate, -$50 mail in rebate, =$155. But like I said I went back the next day to get another and could not even find a listing for it.
