Disabled fast startup, will see if it does it again...
The clock is default settings on Win10 as far as I know.
I don't have any junk apps installed aside from RGB software.
Also confirmed that playing with the DP cable does nothing today...
Starting to think the memory chip not being...
Entire system is 3 months old, video card is 4 months.
Games work fine.
Windows install is also 3 months old.
Only does it when the PC is cold (been off all night/day)
It might actually be the DP cable... though I have re-seated the video card, and the cable in the past.
I doubt it's the...
So I have been having this weird issue lately.
Computer boots into Windows 10... login screen has corruption along the bottom only... then when I login the taskbar is corrupted.
Then it goes away shortly after.
I've tried new drivers, checked my DP cable, re-seated the video card.
I have no...
I went from a 4690K 4.5ghz and a 970, to a 1660 Super, very good upgrade, very happy.
That jump was massive, going from the 4690K 4.5ghz to a Ryzen 5 3600X made very little difference in gaming.
Mine runs fine on the XMP profile.
3600mhz 18-22-22-42, timing is really loose though.
I haven't tried messing with them yet... waiting till I get a better CPU cooler.
Yeah the Gigabyte software first install would entirely lock up the PC and nothing would fix it except a hard reset.
I had to find an older version of the software to even open it.
Pretty much reset the colour every time I turn the PC on.
I've tried 3 different BIOS as well, they all act the...
That's great, but I need to figure out if it's a memory issue, or a Gigabyte motherboard issue.
I'm not sure how to go about that. I don't really want to go buy more memory to test and see if the RGB works fine.
The RGB settings for the motherboard and memory also reset upon waking up from...
So I'm kind of at my wits end with this memory.
I've finally figured out all the small issues with my Ryzen Build, except this stupid RGB crap.
So I've tried a bunch of different software to try and control these damn RGB lights... I've tried re-seating the memory... I've tried voodoo...
Picked up the Gigabyte board.
To my surprise, Ryzen 5 3600X was on sale for $20 more than the 3600 was. :) I got the last one at my local Canada Computers.

I'm thinking the non-wifi model, I don't NEED wifi, but it is nice to have some times... I can just tether my phone with a USB cable if I really need internet and my ISP goes down.
The Wifi model is $50 more...
So I'm still running my trusty old i5 4690K at 4.5ghz. But I'm looking at upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600.
I recently went from a GTX970 to an MSI 1660 Super Gaming X because it's pretty much silent, and I was sick of the loud fan on my ITX 970 card.
Now, I've been eyeing several MSI B450 boards...
I literally never use my headphone jack on my phone.
I have a USB stick plugged into the stereo in the work truck, and my music at home I only listen to through my PC, on some old Logitech Z-5500s.
I enjoyed Paradise more than any other Burnout game.
But come on... a remastered version... it's already a great looking game.
I actually can't believe the game is 10 years old already...
Runs fine, but holy shit the controls are mega fucked.
Backspace to go back a menu...
Space to accept...
No Mouse control in menus...
Nope, uninstalled.
So it's been almost a year...
Planning on picking up a MSI Optix G24C today for $250 on sale.
The 27" was kind of overkill for size... hoping this 24" version doesn't have any dead pixels!
We are significantly less busy in the summer than in the winter.
I will have days where I have only 1 call in the summer, even a few without any.
But sure, keep standing up for those greedy hotels.
Raising prices during holidays.
Sounds like they're just flat out ripping people off.
I drive a tow truck, I don't raise the prices in the winter time, or when it's raining, I make an honest living.
I could live with that crappy backlight if it had zero dead pixels...
It's too bad, it is a nice display, would be even better if it wasn't curved.
I mean, what other 144hz non-TN panels are there for $400 CAD? None... they're all $600+ it seems.
Oh well, it's not my time to upgrade yet...
Yep, it really is a nice monitor.
Had it not had any dead pixels, I'd probably have just kept it.
Cheapest 144hz non-TN panel I could find...
I wonder if TN panels colour has improved over the years... ye olde FP93GX looks like thy trash when you view photos on it with gradients.
I'm going to return it.
It's nice, but $400, dead pixels, and bad backlight...
I just want 100+ hz panel, 1080p with a non-TN panel so I can have nice colour.
Also found out why the wife's monitor didn't work... her PC was wedged against the power receptacle in the wall... and it broke the...
So I picked up the monitor today.
Has about 5 dead pixels, 3 upper left, 2 lower right.
Had weird purple artifacting at first watching a video.. 1080p 60fps... seems to have gone away now, but I did go into the menu and toggle Freesync on then off, even though I have an nVidia card.
Backlight...
Well, I got one on hold for me at the "local" shop that's about 40km away...
Will pick it up Friday night or Saturday.
$5 for the zero dead pixel policy, sounds like a deal to me.
I wouldn't even know till I upgrade my video card :(
The blue hue thing kind of bothers me, I mean.. how does that make it past QC?
Dead pixels concern me as well, mainly why I want to buy it locally if I can.
