I didnt see what the big fuss is about. Ran like SHAT on my computer, with or without patches. Turned off dynamic lighting, helped a bit but the game got progressively slower and slower, memory leak possiby? Who knows. I hated the way the guns handled, and the look of the people in general...

Don't know if its been said or not.. But the GT:HD Demo is not representative of GT5. GT:HD, if I recall correctly, is just the GT4 engine with higher polygon count models and textures. GT5 is supposed to have full damage modelling etc which GT:HD does not support.

I didnt like FFXII's battle system... at all. I absolutely fell in love with FFX though, by far the best for me.

Rofl what eye candy can his not do? Have you seen the game? It is NOTHING special... and if you turn on the "eye candy" (dynamic lighting) your FPS goes to shit! Then there's the constant CTD's, freezing, etc.

Grab a good HDTV and watch discovery channel's HD and tell me you don't see a difference. :rolleyes: My friends say the same thing till they see the comparison from a 480i/p digital discovery feed then my HD feed (same TV, speaker setup, everything)

I get the same thing with my Samsung LNS3251 HDTV. Playing Final Fantasy 12 gives me full top to bottom, but tiny little bars on the sides.. I don't get it but oh well.

As much as sony has disappointed me this generation (came into it a hardcore sony !!!!!!, now proud owner of Wii60 :P heh) I will pick it up when Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13, Devil May Cry, etc. are released for it. As soon as any of those games are out, i'm on my way to pick one up...

Oblivion without any mobs looked like crap to me, outdoors atleast... and the peoples face :( horrible. HOWEVER (before some !!!!!! jumps at my throat :P) it looks ALOT better with the hi-res texture mod and the parallax mod. Still can't get over the faces though... Half-Life 2: Episode 1...

8XAA on nVidia cards is supersampling/multisampling mixed mode IIRC, correct me if I'm wrong. That might explain the lower frame rate?

TP and Wii Sports are awewsome. Red Steel sucks major ass though. I can't get into the game at all and the controls are just downright confusing.

Maybe somepeople don't wanna spend $1K for a decent PC, whereas a $400 console and $100 Keyboard seems like a good deal. I own both and I can see where the appeal of a ekyboard and mouse would come into play with certain games.

Meh.. I kept the PS2 Games I still played and sold the ones that were sitting for 2 year + :p

I got mine for $47.55 Canadian, and it was a premium too. They had a promotion down in vancouver island where you could trade in old PS2/GC/Xbox Games for a minimum credit of $20. So I traded in 22 Games and my game cube + controllers, came out to $47.55 including PGR3 and another controller :cool:

I agreed with you until I read "...the supercomputers, enthusiast segement, etc, i.e, the moneymaking chunk...". You sure you don't mean mainstream? Thats where most companies make their money.. not their super duper extremely expensive edition products.

I've had one form release date and its still working, no DRE or anything. Runs perfectly.
