So dead I am playing Titanfall instead. Oh and BF4 still. Knew it. Still bought it. At least I only paid $30 for the non premium.
I was in the same boat. I new it was going to flop, saw it for 30$ and went for it.
I want my 30$ back.

Still haven't given them my $. Waiting for it to bargain bin at $5 for a fricken DLC.
For me that interview just illustrated how out of touch the development team is with the broader community.http://mp1st.com/2015/05/07/viscera...battlefield-hardlines-shrinking-pc-community/
The easy answer for us is to abandon that platform Oh, whatever. Were selling tons on console. Were great. But were not going to do that, Mumbach assured. The community is on that platform. We really like that platform. Its an important platform for the company. We just have to figure out how we sort of build back up the interest. I think the first step is TCE.
I agree. It seems like only a couple of years ago that EA had quite a few titles I'd plunk cash down for. These days? Not so much... Mass Effect: Andromeda is their Last Hope, as far as I'm concerned, and that won't see release for another year. Most of my interest with EA at this point is whatever Bioware releases but their days are numbered because that's what EA does.
Are peoples still playing this? I'm getting bored with BF4 and want to try something new.
This really is a great game!! It's a shame that it didn't take off. My friends and I have had a blast playing it and the unique game modes are fast and fun.
Yeah mp never went anywhere. Its dead dead now too. I never bothered with the sp. Might now whenever I get done with mass effect.
People still play the original Modern Warfare 20 years later because it has real dedicated servers.hardline was fun, played it on my xbox 360. Don't think I played it on anything else and maybe only for a year or two. I don't blame them shutting that down. Can only support games for so long. Should make a way for people to still play it though.
I really like that. I want there to be a push to if you stop a game that you sold you have to provide the means for it to be played forever. Not hosting servers, i get that. But at least the software kit so people can host their own. A means to preserve the art. I've always thought it would suck if a dev created a game and after it gets shut down, wouldn't even be able to show their kids or friends what they made. Would have to just show videos of it.People still play the original Modern Warfare 20 years later because it has real dedicated servers.

It's why i said I understand it.I can't find the Youtube video to share here but there was a guy that made a video last year logging into BF games from BF1942 to BF 5 to see what the player count was like. Basically there was more people playing BF1942 (with mods to make it work) than Hardline which the Youtuber basically found was dead with almost no players in the lobby at the time of his recording.
These days if folk want to keep a game alive then they have to play it. How often do you hear about popular game servers being shut down?
