Which Console?

My kids have a V-smile console, it has some pretty sweet alphabet games if your into the ABC's

None currently. I've owned all 3 of the current gen consoles. I had 5 360s due to the RROD. My last one was stolen, so I decided to get a PS3 because that's what my friends had at the time. I had that for a couple of months before I realized that I was really missing PC gaming and everything it had to offer. I sold my PS3 and got a blu ray player (pretty much the only use my PS3 got anyway); couldn't be happier.

My favorite console was probably my Wii because it had the most original games, but there really aren't that many great games for it. My Wii was stolen with my 360, and having played all of the good games that were out at the time, I really didn't see a point in getting another. Since then, there's only been a handful of titles that I would even bother playing. One of the Wii's biggest problems is the terrible game library.

The one in quake 3. I used to know almost all the commands by heart! :D ~~~ (oh and PSone/saturn/PS2/PSP/PS3)

PS3, Wii, and SNES. Oh, and now a PC! That counts, right? With all the ports and all?

I own an Xbox 360, Playstation 3, 2 Sega Saturns (one white import with a mod chip), SNES and a ceramic white PS2 Slim. And somewhere in a box in a closest is my original Gameboy.

Sony Playstation 3
Sony Playstation 2 *modded*
Sony PSPGo
Nintendo Wii

I bought the PS3 over the 360 because of bluray :p

I almost forgot that I still have my N64 that I got back when it came out somewhere. It still worked last time I tried it. That console is nearly indestructible.

The only console I own/use is the PS3, and that's because at the time, it was the best Blu-ray player on the market (and still does a damn good job playing them even today.) My kids have a Wii (the oldest is 6). Consoles are great for casual & family oriented games, but for serious gaming all the consoles out there are REALLY showing their age when it comes to technology/capability. For the 12 and under crowd, a gaming console is still a great option, but to me, console these days can hold a candle against a fully loaded PC.

FTFY

You don't need a fully loaded PC to blow consoles out of the water anymore. A budget build can easily do it.

I have a pretty good gaming PC, GTX 580 for a video card, but the consoles have some pretty good exclusives that are worth owning one for. I'd buy a PS3 right now for Dark Souls and other PS3 games but I can't afford it ATM. As soon as I can though I'm getting one.

It's high time the current gen consoles were retired, technologically they are obsolete and overdue for replacement, but they have some fantastic games that aren't available on PC such as Dark Souls. And I think consoles have always done platform and racing games better than PC.

XBOX 360 Slim w/Kinect
PS3 Slim - 160gig w/Move
Wii (never played)
DSi

Mainly play PC atm but once Uncharted 3 lands it'll be PS3 for awhile.

I have a PS3, the Xbox feels like it's been made for children and the PS3 feels like a more mature platform.

Most of my gaming is done on the PC however, if there were no console exclusives I certainly wouldn't have one.

SNES
N64
Original Xbox

PS1
PS2

Me and my friends really haven't gotten into the current console generation. Back in the day, the consoles we owned were based on how much money we had at the time. These days we have the money but still play older consoles and/or PC more than modern consoles.
