That's perfectly fine with me if I don't get the card. But then again, if they did this on purpose and are going to switch the hardware, they are slime. On the other hand, mistakes happen and this isn't the first time.

As long as I get my money back easily

well now that they fixed the price so early, hopefully they'll honor those earlier orders.

ordered one way back when this first came up on the forums, if they cancel our orders fine but if they send us a motherboard or screw us somehow then we will just raise [H]ell:D

damn, I was out drinking with my in-laws....

it's a good thing I'm drunk right now, or I would be more pissed I missed this deal lol...

oh, and to those who got in- I wouldn't worry so much about getting fucked and having to pay more. If you have a decent credit card, the credit card company offers protection for that shit.

hopefully the worst that happens is that you don't get the card. good luck to all

And if that doesnt work, we have kyle to [H]elp :p

I just got my confirmation e-mail from Amazon.

I placed my order at 8:54pm central time, the prices shot back up to 325 at around 9:05pm. We'll see what happens.

Hey, you are in like sin with evga... there are a couple users on the evga boards saying they called evga, TD, or Amazon about it and its some deal TD has with evga or Amazon. Is that true?

This is from EVGA forums http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.asp?m=585736

"Called 1-888-999-3600, the contact # for tigerdirect as claimed on the amazon order page, to confirm my orders that state the 896-P3-1267-AR and they stated that the 680i was being shipped for those orders.

I guess we will see what happens."

Doesn't look good.

That doesn't make sense though. The model number for the 260 core 216 sc is 896-P3-1267-AR. Someone has something ass backwards and either they know about it or its a mistake.

And here come 1000 orders of recert 680i's.

Not really looking forward to dealing with the mobo return...

Look what we did...

#1 seller in Electronics FTMFW!! :D:cool:;):p

The board that shows out of stock definitely had a price of 119 when I was looking at it earlier today.

We're all getting 680i boards:(

EVGA PN# listed on tigerdirect for that 680i motherboard was 122-CK-NF68-RX. Order receipt for the 260 was EVGA 896-P3-1267-AR.
Personally I think it's a price mistake as tigerdirect has the same 260 (896-P3-1267-AR
) for 319.99, vs the amazon listed 119.99.
Guess will find out Tuesday as retailers typically use the next business day to come up with a lame excuse. Example, instead of saying it was a typo by human error they like to blame technology or try to focus towards the manufacturer indicating "they tried to replenish stock but product was EOL".

yup lgestle,

which means that if they do ship us something else, its covered by A-to-Z

If they try to ship me anything other than my GTX 260 Amazon is going to have a massive headache. :D

All i can say is that CLEARLY someone knew what was going on because there is no way that they could have kept adding and then dropping the price. They did it atleast 2 or 3 times.

Anything but the proper item ordered is gonna be met with by a huge hassle from me to them.

So I am pretty sure on my order there isn't anything wrong. I even called Amazon and spoke with a CSR about the order. I would suggest for those of you that are concerned about a switch out to call and confirm that what you ordered is what you will receive.

The only thing I am concerned about is why so low a price? Are these being dumped becauseof the the newer cards supposedly coming out 4th Q of 2008, or are these refurbed cards? Just wondering out loud.

I hope everyone who jumped on this doesn't get screwed over in some fashion... that would be pretty sweet to get a 260 for 119.99!

There are reports over at evga.com that some people have called Tiger Direct. They were told their orders were for 680i motherboards. I don't know how true that is. I'm sure people would enjoy putting out false rumors on this deal just for kicks...or to get people to cancel to better their chances of getting an order filled. Also, an EVGA forum mod claims that Tiger has been made aware of this "event"...or whatever it is.

I sent a email to their CS team. If I was to call them, and find out it was a 680i mb, I would freak out at the person. I'd rather not do that.
